At the very least the thread title keeps reminding me of 'fuckin lemonade' which i guess would be a meme if it was more widespread.

All this just makes me wish Bruhnaldo never came back.
I deem Mokbulls mum to be a Meme.
You keep fighting the fight Bruh. Don't let the bastards grind you down.
Post it again and that'll be a meme John.
So don't open it. It's really not that hard.

I'm going to post an actual meme
Which is dumb and becomes
which then somehow becomes huge and becomes this 'wholesome' shit
to the point I'm now seeing major brands trying to riff on it. It's a meme about a Sherriff made of emojis that sucks people off and I've seen major corporations posting it. I don't understand the world anymore.
"an actual meme"
like ya'll really don't get how memes work do you
this dude has spent this entire thread bitching about how he's not entertained then drops the most unfunny thing on the internet right now lmao
Dunno it's all going my way tbh.
Meme Gene Okerlund.
I like that, make it a thing.
Meme Joe Green must already be a thing.
I quite like that R2-D2 one.Not a meme though.
You're now just posting tweets. If there's not an actual meme posted by the next page this thread is going in the archive as the worlds shittest thread.
That's just a tweet! For God's sake, man! Do you have no respect for the English language?!
This is going to result in a Hammer meltdown and him leaving (again).
The R2-D2 one is brilliant.
'Jaspa' is right, but lol at his lonely Twitter. Why do you even bother?
Whle I'm vain enough to love the idea of being an opinion shaping Twitter influencer, I'm never going to be that person. And it doesn't matter because I like Twitter for it's format of delivering a mix of news/jokes rather than the idea of conversing with anyone. Most of the times I regret interacting with people whatsover (see the other day where I was told that saying the South Sudan civil war is bad was racist) I get most of my 'engagement' from boosters from 'influential' posters via RTs. I turned analytics on for this post to see where it's at (I had it on when it released on my other account but I always shut the account down and move to another alias when I'm unemployed) and it's about 3x the average non 'power user' (10% of Twitters userbase creates 90% of the content) so it's not that bad.

Bad at math, worse at economics. Only numbers I understand.
The idea of Enty 'shaping opinion' is highly amusing.![]()
Shaping opinion?
Fucking hell.
There are at least three terms in that post you don't fully understand.
'Correct through usage' arsewater has brought us to a point where 'could care less' is considered synonymous with 'couldn't care less' and 'literally' is probably most commonly used as a synonym for 'figuratively' by people who don't know the latter word.
Generally speaking, in English at least, linguistic drift has been about language evolving into a more expressive and efficient version of itself. If society has decided that the meaning of 'meme' is essentially indistinguishable from 'image' then we're going backwards, with one more word to describe something we already had a hundred for and now no words exclusively used to describe something very specific. That being the case, language needs to be protected from society, because apparently society is not fit to take care of it.
Couldn't write a more John post if I tried.
None of what you described is problematic because you can still use meme correctly to describe a cultural phenomenon and you won't be lynched on the street for doing so. And it doesn't fucking matter that people say 'literally' in place of 'figuratively' or 'could care less' instead of 'couldn't care less', because conversation is less about maintaining a strict intellectual hierarchy and instead about having a good time and bonding with other people - things which you are totally incapable of - and if people use vocabulary more loosely to achieve those ends then who gives a single flying shitting fuck
Get an all zones season ticket you cunt.
Mok. Here's a visual representation of that post:

Nailed.
Language is about conveying meaning, so of course it matters that words and phrases are coming to represent the exact opposite of what they actually mean. It's not about hierarchy it's just about being able to talk to someone speaking the same language and have them understand what you're saying, which isn't guaranteed if 'could care less' is being used to convey the only thing it actually rules out.
If this thread is representative of the sort of 'good time' you're having and people you're 'bonding' with then I'll pass on whatever those things mean to you, I'm not big on adults acting like addled children.
Trust John to bore up a fucking meme thread.
