Driving Miss Daisy was a solid Sunday film to watch. Working my way through some classics at the moment.

Are they starting Spiderman off again? Fuck sake.
I saw Baby Driver last weekend and it was pretty good.
Pretty disappointed by Moonlight. Took a long while to get going, had a spurt where it looked like it'd turn great and then pettered out.
Shame.
You're a fucking shambles Foe.
No doubt. I've only seen three of the Best Picture nominees for this year, but I'd go:
Lion > Hacksaw Ridge > Moonlight
A bit like the IMDB list (which is now far too full of bollywood shite for me) I've been working my way through the best picture nominees. Might create a thread on it at some point.
I still love ya though, you thicc son
Moonlight is brilliant.
I've also seen Swiss Army Man, The Lobster and The Adjustment Bureau in the last couple of weeks.
All three were enjoyable but the first two were really weird, especially Swiss Army Man.
The third had the most potential but the weak ending seriously let it down.
Rewatched The Departed.
Also didn't realise it was based on a Chinese film called Internal Affairs. Any good?
No. It's in Chinese.
So is 7om but he's still pretty good.
Yeah it is, Magic.
Infernal Affairs is quality and I'd say has a better ending.
Recommendation for something decent and easy watching?
Had a load of exams this week and need to switch the brain off for a bit.
My two favorites for that are High Fidelity and Human Traffic but I've abandoned the latter as it's aged terribly. High Fidelity is still an absolute banger though.
Just got back from War for the Planet of the Apes. Really enjoyed it but I feel like the second one was better, but I probably need to re-watch the second one to confirm that.
Mississippi Burning was absolutely great. Young(er) willem defoe was slightly unnerving.
Star Wars: Rogue One was pretty shit. Hopefully whatever I fire on later makes up for it.
La La Land was brilliant. Really enjoyed that, Emma Stone and Ryan Gosling are such likeable actors of our generation.
3inarow.
Those two posts man. Unreal.
Generally every single Foe post in here is weird. Not shit, just weird. What do we expect from someone who eats lettuce at the cinema.
Just spunked £35 on a La La Land poster and frame to go on my wall.
My boyfriend will love it.
I haven't seen La La Land (it'll be shit), but Foe's on the money with Rogue One.
The first two thirds are disappointing but I absolutely loved the end to it.
I watched The Circle. It is amazingly bad.
King Arthur is astoundingly bad. If it wasn't for Jax TellerI wouldn't have made it to the end. There'll definitely won't be a sequel, right?
I'm a twit
Seen that Churchill trailer. Oldman's not got the voice for it.
Does your husband like it too, Henry?
Das Boot, best watched as the theatrical release, director's cut or miniseries?
George Romero has died![]()
Apart from the night of the living dead he looks responsible for some of the most shite attempts at horror films ever. Fuck him.
Dawn of the Dead was cracking too.
The Crazies is quality.
The original, not the recent shitshow with Seth Bullock in it.
Went to see War for the Planet of the Apes today and thought it was better than the previous ones.
Serkis and Harrelson donned it.

Dunkirk is getting extraordinary reviews. I cannot wait.
Wait a minute...Harry Styles?
What the...
Went to see the new Planet of the Apes tonight. It was good, but not on par with the first two. The comic relief character was too forced and the plot was entirely predictable. Still thoroughly enjoyable fare. Andy Serkis is so good. I wonder is there another one planned.
Also looking forward to Dunkirk.![]()
Pretty much summed up what I thought, though I found the comic relief character much needed to lift the mood at points.
Supposedly he is also there to hint at more films, because he proves that there are other apes that Caeser didn't know about. So I think they may well make more, but probably a completely different side of the story, rather than another sequel.
The comedy was needed, but not to the extent that they did it. His facial expressions and general behaviour was funny enough, they didn't need to make him such a clown in the way he spoke.
There's a feminist on Twitter, Brianna Wu, complaining that there were no female characters with dialogue in the film. Ignoring the fact that there are several females with a lot of sign language dialogue, that there are like four speaking roles in the entire film, and that Nova is one of the main characters in the film. I don't know if I can link tweets on mobile.

Also, at what point can we start giving Andy Serkis acting awards. Because he completely deserves them.
Saw two films yesterday.
First up was Training Day which I absolutely loved, Denzel and Hawke were brilliant.
Next was Jurassic World, I was expecting absolute dog shit as I had heard a lot of bad things but I didn't think it was that bad. Kids were absolutely fucking shit though, especially the younger one.
I watched a short film called Resignation today, and I'd be very interested in seeing it turned into a feature. Even watching on my phone and in less than ideal conditions, on a train on a fairly bright day, it looked fucking gorgeous. It's thirteen minutes long, seek it out.
