What do you think?
What do you think?
Why are these two back in the news recently? I haven't been keeping up.
It's the ten year anniversary.
I reckon she was actually pinched, but that the parents ought to have been absolutely hammered, and more than likely would have been had they been a pair of morons off an estate somewhere.
I've been convinced since day 1 that the parents did it.
In the whole thing though two things don't sit well with me:
The first being that hardly anyone has said anything about them being shit parents by leaving their kids alone. Secondly, why the fuck the case has (and still does) get so much fucking press. Kids go missing everyday, why was this so 'special'.
Because a window was left open Mahow.
Shit, I forgot about that.
They're clearly not negligent parents at all.
The parents did what? Killed her? I don't think that's the case, but they should definitely have faced some sort of prosecution for leaving the kids alone.
I still hope Sandman's prediction (of her ending up in ZOO/NUTS with her tits out at 18) comes true.
Remember when he accused Jeff Winter of knowing her whereabouts?
I find it hard to believe the sniffer dogs with an otherwise perfect record just happened to be wrong so many times on this one case.
One parent killed her by accident, disposed of the body and didn't tell the other one at the time (maybe never has), which is why they've kept themselves in the media limelight for this long.
Having read part of that Wikipedia lin quickly, I'd say she escaped.
I quite like the suggestion that she's alive somewhere but has no idea who she is.
To echo what many others have said, I think she's dead, and I think that her Mum and Dad are bad parents. I don' think they did it though. The media need to collectively tell them to fuck off. The level of sympathy they've managed to sustain, for such a long period of time, is amazing.
At least we can be thankful she was wearing an Everton shirt in that photograph and not a Liverpool one. Can you imagine the fucking grief festival that lot would have created over all this? They would probably have named a stand at Anfield after her by now.
I'd completely forgotten about her until a year or so ago I was in an airport and there was a 'Missing Child' poster and I realised it was her. Has no other child gone missing in the previous 9 years or is this the only one we're supposed to care about?
She is the last child that's gone missing. Incredible really.
Pretty interesting.
I hope their latest funding request gets turned down.
There’s 2 options really:
1) They did it and have been loving life since it happened. Loving the attention and lining their pockets.
2) They fucked off for some dinner and left 3 kids alone in an unfamiliar place where anything could, and did, happen.
Either way it’s their fault and they should be (or have been) behind bars and shouldn’t have custody of their remaining kids.
I'm becoming more hard line on this. They killed her and ate her.
She’ll be 16 next year lads.
I'm a twit
At least Pead's are returning their goods. This whole burn after using isn't really fair and as a community they recognised that. Fair play.
I mean, we sorta almost found Ben Needham.
Thats interesting. Loading up documentaries on the tube right now.
Watch the one where the FBI guy analyses what they say.
You find it and share the link
Anyone seen the Netflix documentary?
The incompetence of the Portuguese police really was something.
Isn't all non-English speaking law enforcement and/or justice useless?
Because American one is so great...
But to answer the question: yes
Possibly, but the process of declaring a suspect 'Arguido' is particularly lolworthy.
I've only watched the first one, but some of the details are fucking ridiculous. The fact that she (Maddie) asked her parents, in front of company, why they had left them alone and didn't come when one of the babies was crying broke my black little heart. But they did it again anyway, the utter shit cunts.
2 summers ago we had a power cut in the night and our baby monitor cut off. By the time my wife woke up our daughter had made herself sick by crying so much (her light went out too). I felt fucking awful. I struggled to sleep for about a week afterwards because I was worried it'd happen again. The idea of deliberate doing that to her the following night would only occur to scumbags of the highest order.
The Spanish police force investigation into the paedophile ring the private investigators looking for Maddie found was codenamed 'Lolita P-Mix'.
You can't make this stuff up.
While I wouldn't say this documentary has completely changed my mind, I think this accusation (which I supported wholeheartedly back in the day as it was the most obvious explanation) stems from two things.
The first I've already mentioned, but the second was because they both come across as such unfeeling bastards.
The fact they were no commenting questions in the initial interview has always stuck with me as a massive, honking, neon sign that they at least done her in accidentally, if they didn't sell her to the lads from Taken.
I haven't watched this new documentary yet, but it'll take a lot to overturn that initial impression.
I think I've seen three episodes now. At the minute I'm thinking they didn't do it but the last episode ended with the cadaver dog being brought in so I'm probably about to be swayed.
Option 3. Neither?
I don’t understand how, if she did die in the apartment, how they hid it and inexplicably got her out of there and buried/chucked off a cliff/in the sea, while the press where all over them.
I do reckon she’s definitely dead, but I don’t understand where her body went. The other holidaymakers must be in on it, yet somehow none of them have broken their silence and grassed them in? It doesn’t make sense.
I haven’t watched the new documentary but apparently it adds nothing that we didn’t already know 10 years ago or whenever it was.
I'm a twit
They would have had to do it before they went to dinner the night she disappeared.
The reason my mind changed somewhat having watched the documentary was the sheer weight of people in it who said they could see real grief in them when meeting them and felt sure they didn’t do it.
Now that didn’t come across once during their world tours and I’ve little sympathy for people who’d leave their kids alone while they stuff their faces, but there we are.
