Chelsea need to fill that massive hole in central midfield. Nobody picking up the runners.

Fair play, lad. Shame on Mellin and that for putting all that pressure on as well.

Forgot he played for Villa, so thought he had finally just shaved his head bald or something.

Vietnam must have an odd news source pumping out stats on Englishmen in the Premiership. It's always John Arne with the bizarre indignation at the numbers.

How is it bizarre? The number of English players in the Premier League is terrible. I mention it a fair few times, because I think it needs fixing.

The instinct isn't, the way you go about it is. Stats posted with little comment and odd digs at Arsenal.

    It's the same everywhere.

Do you need more comment than "not enough English players". And yes, Arsenal tend to have the least English players at the moment, so I have a dig at them, too.

    This isn't difficult, John.

The best one we have has been injured all season, the second best one starts, one is behind the best full back in the league, a world cup winner and the starting centre back for France, one is Welsh, one is Nigerian, and the other two are Kieron Gibbs and Theo Walcott who are dog shit.

There hasn't been a majority English team that's done anything in nearly a decade and a half because, guess what, most English players aren't very good.

edit: I'd also like to lol at 'Thank fuck for Leicester' considering they have a whole 5.

edit 2: Oh wait I counted Wes Morgan. 4.

It needs more if you want it to come across as anything but a strange whine. What do you think should be done? I reckon it's the same everywhere. Of the top, top sides I can think of at the moment only Bayern are regularly putting out a load of domestic players.

Arsenal have plenty of English players, they're just all injured constantly. You went at this full speed last time too and ended up looking silly.

This is a proper shambles from Chelsea.

I'm beginning to think Courtois is a bit of an overrated tit. He was slow off his mark there and the attempted tackle was just a mess.

If I remember rightly, the conversation went in to some more detail last time - I don't remember, to be honest.
You can keep saying that Arsenal have lot's of English players, but if they don't ever play due to injuries of not being good enough - it just serves to back up my point.

I hope I don't look silly, I'll try not to go at full speed this time.

Playing wildcard -> selling Gomes and Aguero, making Martial captain.

Right, so what should be done? As far as I can tell what you want is for the big clubs to sell their foreigners and start fielding teams of Englishmen to no real benefit.

Find a top level European club putting out a majority of domestic players on a regular basis and offer their blueprint up as an example.

In all seriousness, your fullbacks might be in with a shot considering your record.

It's a shame Lescott was such a colossal tit after the game today. It'll take the attention away from Jason Cummings saying he tried to chip his penalty because his new haircut makes him look like Pirlo.

There's been talk of us trying to sign him for next season. No thanks. Take the boy from Dunfermline.

Zabaleta has been out for months, same with Shaw, Ivanovic and Dave are in tenth, Janmaat can only attack. (Am I forgetting anyone?) I'm not saying it's a hard title to gain but I don't see another player out there with his skill set at the back and up front.

edit: Thought I'd check his stats, 1 goal, 5 assists and 14 clean sheets.

Yeah I'd have Zabaleta in an ordinary season. Shaw had that really good run of form, maybe he'll be up there someday. Rose has looked good each time I've seen him recently.

What Arsene said I largely agree with:

“The referees are professional people. You’re supposed to be impartial whatever happens so, on some level, [it appears that] someone doesn’t believe completely that the referee is impartial."

Doing this only invites the idea that these folks can't remain impartial and professional Slippery slopes, and what not..

He's not even from Leicester or a Leicester fan. Once the issue has been raised it's probably best to take him off the game though to avoid any accusations.

He's never refereed us before, it was Spurs fans kicking up a fuss that he was officiating their game at Stoke. Bit odd really because I'm sure refs from certain areas have refereed games in which one of the teams was a direct rival to the team in the area they are from.

The Everton fans getting arsey is lol as well. I know David Moyes had you over-achieving every year, but you're still only Everton. Eleventh is about your lot.

To be fair to Everton they probably should be in the hunt for Europa League places. They've probably had the best team they've had in a fair few years now and are wasting it.

Baines and Jagielka are the wrong side of 30 now and Lukaku, Stones and Barkley are all likely to be off in the summer. Unless they get replaced well you're looking at a struggling team.

I don't know about that. There is a lot of crap when you get beyond their four decent players (which you sort of say), to the point where the squad might actually be weaker than what Moyes left them with.

Relegation hasn't even registered, which shows how bad we've been this year, but at least we shouldn't have any spastics crying their hearts out for the country to see.

I have missed the gloriously petty nutjobbery that accompanies these games. It's impossible to overstate how fucking furious the patrons of that pub will be today.
