Rather than sit back and wait for somebody to take it on, I thought I may as well see what interest there is in making a 'Third Half' Twitter account in attempts to raise the profile of the board and possibly get some new members.

The suggestion was to take some of the best posts and conversations from football threads and post them on Twitter. We do occasionally have interesting insights on here that are well put forward and may be appreciated by a wider audience. If it were to draw in a few new members every now and then it would help to keep the board sustainable.

But maybe we're happy with our lot and new mongs from Twitter can do one?

Anyway, say here if you'd be willing to help curate some posts and update a Twitter feed a few times a day (or probably less often depending on activity here).

I highly recommend using Tweet Deck to help with this.

You can pre-load a load of tweets and schedule them to autotweet at any given time on any given day. It really is a great service. And completely free.

There's probably also a way to automate content directly from the forum, but it probably wouldn't be as slick as people actually doing it to make sure the character count isn't breached, and no fluff gets tweeted.

It's a good idea. "A few times a day" would be too much, I think, if you're purely using football posts. I'd recommend some posts occasionally if that helps. We do have some interesting football observations going on.
