For those people/groups who act like a moron. Especially those harming their own legitimate agenda's by completely missing the point an acting like a buffoon (Ta-Nehisi Coates, most of The Guardians Feminists writers...)


I give you Anohi, who wrote and produced a beautiful song with J Ralph, Manta, for the documentary Racing Extinction - the song was nominated for Music (Original Song).

However, she has now confirmed that she is boycotting the Oscars because she was not asked to perform the song at the ceremony, and apparently a wider anger at the whole of the US

If you trace the trail of breadcrumbs, the deeper truth of it is impossible to ignore. It is not one isolated event, but a series of events that occur over years to create a system that has sought to undermine me, at first as a feminine child, and later as an androgynous transwoman. It is a system of social oppression and diminished opportunities for transpeople that has been employed by capitalism in the US to crush our dreams and our collective spirit.

She contrasted the awards ceremony with that of the UK’s Mercury Prize which she won in 2005 as Antony and the Johnsons for I Am a Bird Now: “All the nominees were invited to perform that night. They lifted me from obscurity and celebrated me, setting off a chain of events that changed my life forever.”

I would have thought that actually attending he event, and being proud of what you have achieved, and not hiding away, would have been a lot more positive for the trans community.

Google him. He's a complete idiot. Rather than focusing on genuine issues that black Americans face, he does whatever he can to promote himself and picks the most trivial events to focus on.

First one reads as if it was written by Harold, I'll assume the second one is as shit so I'm not going to bother with it.

I'll admit I have not read his book, but among all the shite that is spouted by minorities claiming victimhood, he is at least decent at it from what I've read. You might disagree with him, but his article in The Atlantic is a very good piece, light years above that shite you posted.
