I'm out.
Rule 1 of an internet forum: Never tell people you're leaving an internet forum.
Please stay quincy.
No. Wait. Don't go.
Yesterday he asked why I thought he was about 14 years old. I think his post above answers it for him.
Magic strikes again.
Like a Royal Rumble in here.
Surely this cements my poster of the year 2016 award?
By the time the awards come you will be the only one remaining, so yes.
I enjoy reading but not posting. Nothing to do with the people here as I enjoy all the personalities, but it's just a bit more entertaining as an observer.
I'll quite miss Quincy as he was one of the touches of normality in a sea of many cunts but he could have at least done the thread properly and told us why, as per the title.
Why have the toys been thrown out here?
Because he's thick as pigshit, probably.
Magic already up to 2 eliminations in this years Royal Rumble.
Quincey mate please.
Honestly these days whenever I come on here I generally don't feel like I have that much to say, partly because I'm not on as often, and don't read threads as carefully because of it and thus - do not always know what the current discussion might be about and will find it hard to engage in it. It's kind of a vicious circle kind of thing, I guess.
You're occupied now, to be fair.
Which is why I don't understand you not being on here more.
He's still mad I called StarCraft 2 shit.
I always thought Dquincey was a decent enough guy. And the meltdown was pretty funny. Don't flounce for too long.
Unexpected.
John should get more blame than Magic, from what I've seen.
Either way, "leaving" is unnecessary.
I'm a twit
Making a song and dance of leaving a website is a proper melt thing to do. I kind of respect people who just stop posting one day and that's it. Strong and silent type. Very sexy.
Quincy has publicly 'left' about five times over the years. It's never over anything and he always comes back. He's just an attention seeking simpleton.
It's true, I suppose. A kid means less time spent in front of the computer when I'm at home, and my work for the past 3-4 years have been much more, whats a good word.. intense? Like I'll usually spend 80% of my day in meetings and I also probably work a lot more than I used to.
80% of a day in meetings sounds like the least productive job ever.
People in London have meetings about scheduling further meetings. What's even the point?
But his meetings are intense.
Personally stopped coming as often for a few reasons. I'm a lot busier, although as Jimmy touched upon it would be easy enough to make time if you wanted to. Fatigue is another. 15 years is a long time and it's inevitable you'll lose interest eventually, although it shows how good the place is at its best that it can hold people's attention for such a long time. A lot of the posters I had a personal affinity with have come and gone, although a few still remain. Whilst finally there's a nasty streak these days, which has been touched upon several times before, which goes through the heart of the board. That's always been there (maybe not at the very start), but it's been amplified over time.
Quincy's a good example. He's daft, yes, but instead of having fun poked at him there's a maliciousness that's seen him chewed up and spat out. One less poster and another small step toward the END.
Will say when I confessed about the missus, which I'd rather not have done, but it's out there now, there were a lot of genuine posts and PMs, which I want to thank people for, and I'm not saying we're all wankers. Just got into a habit of acting as such too often, which some take to heart and reduces numbers with time.
I miss you Mellin
I saw Quincy had left but I've no idea what caused it. In what way was he treated badly?
Defending being a humourless cunt as 'calling a spade a spade', 'telling it how it is' or whatever is the stupidest bollocks I've ever read by the way.
Quincy was posting like a tit, so people said 'lol what a tit', and he appears to have cried off. I appreciate we're not really in a position to be lolling people off the board, but that was accepted as how TTH worked for long enough, so if we start treating him like a special needs case for the sake of an extra eight posts a day then we might as well close.
Does anyone remember Mr.X?
It depends who you're saying the humourless cunts are.
Also I'm amazed LR hasn't melted down yet. He's got some thick skin and good on him. That's how TTH members are made.
I don't think anyone IS a humourless cunt on here, but there is a culture (lol) of it being okay to get irrationally angry with other posters as long as they 'deserved it'. Bit of bantz is alright but sometimes it feels a bit toxic. Maybe it is character building though, and it might just be that I'm an overly sensitive little pussy.
You are.
I thought you'd left, sir.
He was being a prat from what I've seen (which admittedly isn't everything), but the mob was out for him and wasn't satisfied until he fucked off. Like you say, numbers are sparse and if you look back through time there's countless examples of it and if they were all still about we'd have more activity. Quality and quantity argument, I suppose.
Fuck knows how that alcoholic jock John still has any power here.
That's the second time in a month I've apparently managed to organise and mobilise a lynchmob over the course of about five posts.
I must be a leader of men without even realising it.
It's amazing how many total degenerates there are on here
