Got a couple of lodgers moving into my gaff in a couple of weeks. Both are middle aged women. Less drama than people my age, I reckon. And the house will be tidy.

Buying your own house and then having to live with people

Why didn't you just get something you could afford?

    No Chinese, thankfully.

You reckon you'll shag either of them, Hammer?

Hammer's too respectful for that. He'll just straight up ask if they wouldn't mind jamming a rolling pin up his arse.

Well we're not all misanthropes like you. I can afford it but i have empty bedrooms and i enjoy living with people, so long as they're decent and these both seem to be. I also have to pay £0 towards the mortgage or bills once they've moved in.

That is true. I can't get my head around wanting to live with strangers.

Well if it suits then happy days all round.

I move into my dorm room in a week. Not going to meet my roommate till I move in, which should be interesting.

Surely any middle aged woman having to rent a room in a house share is going to be mental in some way. Divorced. Spinster. Just really, really irritating. I would sooner live with Chinese people.

Does everybody in American colleges share a room? My mate did it in first year and was coupled with a Japanese bloke. He got on with him but said it was too weird so got his own room.

Sharing a room at uni being standard in America seems so strange to me. I get edgy about having to share a hostel dorm with my mates on holiday and not being able to wank, let alone doing it with a stranger for a whole year.

I never had a wet dream as a teenager, because I discovered what wanking was before my hormones caught up, but I had my first ever one on holiday in Budapest aged 22. I'd gone 4 days without a wank, which must be a record in my life since my first, excluding intermittent spells of having actual sex with women, and woke up in a sticky mess a 5 in the morning after a particularly vivid dream.

I find it a bit strange too to be honest, though I don't have the same phobia of sleeping in the same room as someone. There are lots of single rooms though, this was a compromise I made in order to get into the best building.

Anyone who shared a room with me would have a fucking terrible time because I snore like a motherfucker.

I'm gonna be moving soon and have been looking around for somewhere. Been looking on spareroom and that but not seeing much decent yet.

Thought I'd found some alright people to live with on spareroom. Two of them. There was going to be a fourth but that seems to have fallen through. So then one of the two suggests someone else they know, said they were sound etc. Okay. They're just a massive fucking normie and I don't like them already and we're only starting to look for places.

I've noticed Boydy throwing that one around a bit lately, notably when talking about people who don't like that 'ParliaWint' shit he and Phonics love. It's embarrassing.

The lower definitions are better. It's not normal people as such, but (as I understand it) a particular sort of identikit saddo. The type of people who think 'cockwomble' and 'spunktrumpet' are funny, and doubly so when tweeted at Boris Johnson.

Not necessarily the opposite of a hipster. Look at the other definitions. Just someone who's a bit bland and dull, really. They probably like Ed Sheeran.

Of the original two, the one who I had figured as non-normie isn't keen on this newbie either. Good.

If ever there was a statement which didn't need a qualifier, it's Foe saying 'You'd hate living with me.'

You'd kill him the first evening when he tried to put Nickelodeon on and somehow changed every TV in the house.

From what I've seen in 4chan screenshots a 'normie' is somebody that does normal things like have friends, chat to girls and leave the house, so Boydy comes across as a proper loser when he uses it.

Avocado is nice, but unless you're interested in the health benefits it isn't worth paying for.

I'll pay the extra sixty pence to get guacamole in a burrito, but I wouldn't bother buying them. They taste nice enough, but they cost a bomb for what you're getting and they last about fifteen seconds before going off once you've cut into one.

Are you actually using 'normie' not sarcastically or ironically?

    It's like a full-on autist term.

Seems it's a term like 'hipster' etc and people use that all the time, so it's probably not that big a deal.

It really isn't a term like hipster.

It's what basement dwelling neckbeards call people who don't have autism.

One of the alternative meanings on Boyd's link says it refers to people who aren't mentally ill.
