    Angry Cards Against Humanity

    ...is absolute dog muck.

For those who don't know what it is, I'll offer a quick explo:

A group of people sit around a table. They each get given about 7 white cards with things wrote on them, eg "A Posh Wank" & "Kids With Bum Cancer."

Then one of the people draws a black card from the deck which will have a sentence on and a missing blank to fill. Eg "I'm going to get a ____ statue in my garden" or "the _____ world championships start soon"

You then go around the table reading out the black card and one at a time the people choose something off their white card to say and fill in the gap. People laugh.

It's shite. It's not a way to have fun at any sor of social gathering unless you're an unfunny mug who would other wise be sat silent all night.

If you like this game, I actively dislike you.

    It is absolutely rubbish.

I found it fun the first time I played it. Then never wanted to play it again.

That game lives and dies by the group that plays it.

It was funny for about the first 5 goes, and then you realise what you're doing is reading someone else's BANTER off cards.

Both comments are spot on. Think it's a novelty game which relies on the group playing it.

But baz clearly has some issues to dislike a silly game so much. Probably wasn't very good at it.

As stated, it's fun once. Then once you've seen the 'shocking' answers they aren't funny any more, so you instead have to put up with your mates rubbish attempts at replicating said 'shocking' answers, so you end up hating them. Presumably hence the 'against humanity' bit of the title.

Nah I disagree about the group. Sure it'll be even worse with a bunch of thicko's, but a "good group" couldn't rescue it for me.

I agree with Jimmy Floyd's summary, except the realisation set in as soon as I read my white cards.

If you were an indication of the group then Shindig has probably hit the nail.
Though it does sound a bit guff.

Wait, so, it's like a written version of that thing where you draw the head of the person, then fold the paper and let the other do the torso, so on so fourth...?

Which you did at like kindergarden.

Can you actually win this game or is it just "for a laugh"? Sounds completely fucking pointless and shit to me.

Its great fun. I've mostly played it with people who Ihave never played it before it at least who I've never played it with though. But I've always enjoyed it.

You're all just a bunch of miserable cunts

Someone getting their fun from reading out a load of horrible things for no real reason is far more likely to be a miserable cunt than someone not doing that.

It's only a game for fucks sake. The object isn't to say horrible things dickwad. It's to say humorous things using the phrases provided.

The level of offensive'ness is dependent on the people playing.

Articulate is probably the most enjoyable board game I've ever played. I've never played Pie Face or this - the former looks like good fun but I'd swing with the prevailing opinion on this in that it looks thoroughly unappealing.

The precise level of wit I'd expect from someone espousing this shite.

John is reaching Harold levels of pointlessness here.

I used to have fun playing it, but i haven't in a while and i don't really miss it. I can't imagine anyone ever going "Well i really want to play cards against humanity before we go out!" on a Friday night. Just doesn't happen.

I really enjoy Cards against Humanity, though when I played it twice in the space of a few days, the second time was shite. It definitely needs to have a bit of a gap between times that you play or it just gets repetitive.

The problem is that me and my mates are already hilarious, and the structure of the game actually limits our bantz levels rather than increasing them.

Not a fancy word, though I can see how it might seem that way to someone who thinks there's an apostrophe in offensiveness.

I got Articulate for Christmas - why is there a spinner in the middle? It seems like a needlessly complicated addition to what is essentially a word description game.

It's a stupid little game that everyone pretends is fun that you play as a means to facilitate social interaction among adults at small gatherings before the alcohol sets it. Take it for what it is.

Balderdash is a lot better as it's essentially a very similar game but you make up your own answers allowing for PROPA NAWTY BANTA

It adds a bit of luck to things to balance the playing field of one team are better than the rest. We played with the proper rules over Christmas and I actually thought it was far better than the house rules we'd played previously.

Trivial Pursuit is an awful game. The concept is good but the questions are either the horribly outdated originals or the carelessly put together modern rubbish.
