I do laugh when I see all the stuff about how much this is going to 'do for the game of darts'. Like, what could it do? Will bowling alleys start being converted to darts warehouses with sixty oches laid out in bright colours, stuffed to the brim with children's parties? Pubs are closing hand over fist and no communal spaces are replacing them, the game of darts is doomed, just like all similar such sports. This is just a thing people latched onto during the post Christmas hangover because there was nothing else going on, and Littler is a giant child freak, the sort which has always attracted crowds since the days of Ripley's.

All the 'greatest ever' calls are pretty bold in a sport where there is a SIXTEEN TIME world champion who has really only just retired, so you can't even put it down to olden days. Surely it's almost certain that Littler will absolutely not be the greatest ever.
Littler has probably what 30/35 years at the top to go though so he has a decent chance.
As for Taylor he was he without a doubt the best darts player ever(and a nonce) but the standard is much higher now than when he was in his pomp and there are generally 7/8 players who could win the world title when he was at his best it was him and maybe 1/2 who could actually beat him.
Littler’s talent is above when MVG came roaring back into the scene looking like a leukaemia victim.
