Dark hair and glasses? I guess it looks a little like me. I do own, and was wearing, that exact outfit when I made me too.
Have you got that terrible goatee too?
I do not. I sometimes don't shave and that's the only facial hair I get.
NBA Playgrounds or whatever the name of that NBA Jam rip-off is weird. The shot release is way, way too early and it has the physics of NBA Street but without the collision or the soundtrack.
Got Iverson in my first pack though so 9/10.
I enjoyed it, even though there's no way to easily change your team. And online is ranked only.
Also, let it be known that the last 3 fights in a 4* or higher Multiverse on Injustice 2 are hard as fuck.
I had to fight Flash, Deadshot and Black Adam (he's almost impossible to beat at the best of times) as the final 3 and it was a real struggle. Their defence was solid and their attack was mental.
I believe that I lost a total of 24 times between those 3 earlier. I'd be donning it, they'd then chain 2 combos and I was fucked.
This will cheer you up, Mahow.
Gear is great / terrible, it seems.
My weekend's gone from trying to concentrate on the backlog to actually getting a review done before release. It's over 100 now.
Wanna watch some highlights from Mike and I playing PLAYERUNKOWN'S BATTLEGROUNDS?
I'm a twit
Broke my headlights on a wet night-time stage on DiRT 4. Everybody should do that. You can navigate from the reflection of the wet pavement. SERIOUSLY.
Finished Prey. Great game. But...
Toggle Spoiler
Dunno what's next. Maybe Kentucky Route Zero or Owlboy.
EDIT: Did the first episode of KZR. It's a bit odd.
And I now had a crack at Owlboy. Bloomin' lovely, so it is.
Also it gave me one of those badge things that normally you flog for about 9p but this was is apparently going for 50p!
So I've been watching the Game Grumps series for Paper Mario 2 and decided I wanted to see if I had any of my copies of Thousand Year Door or Super Paper Mario. So far as I can tell I do not... but I have, after finally getting my Wii set up again, discovered I have 1500 Wii points in my account, which is like finding a tenner that I can only spend in a really specific way. Fortunately this specific way is on old games.
Got some Mega Drive or N64 options I'm sizing up.
I bought Starbound on Steam earlier. It's like a sci-fi Terraria. Seems good so far but I keep dying as I can't find any food on the planet I'm on.
By any sensible measure a tenner should get you about 100 games of that era, this being Nintendo I doubt that's the case.
Yoshi's Island sir, that'll be £12.95
And then they'll remove it from the service. Cheers, lads.
Can you buy N64 games on the Switch?
Yeah, I think the Mega Drive stuff is about £3 and £6 for N64, which is a ripoff. But then on Steam the very first Call of Duty is still over a tenner so who bloody knows.
I might buy Eternal Champions just to see if I can finally beat the final boss 24 years (for fuck's sake) later.
I don't know if the plan changed but they were originally going to dribble out one retro game a month, via their online subscription service, which you could play for that month only.
why are Nintendo so retarded
Quite. Given the prevalence and ease of emulation you'd think they'd realise that letting subs have easy, cheap access to an enormous catalogue of brilliant games to play on their new portable console would be a huge selling point.
Imagine battling away against a game for a month only to have it whipped away before you could finish it. The console would go through the front window.
I found my old GameCube fairly recently actually. What were they thinking with those little discs?
They're no longer doing that. $20 a month gets you access to all of the library ... whatever that library winds up being.
Dusted off Banjo Kazooie. I could play this forever.
Two episodes in and I've no idea if I'm meant to have a better idea of what's going on in Kentucky Route Zero than I currently do. It's weird.
Owlboy is wonderful, however.
E3 EA WAS SHIT MICROSOFT TONIGHT let's...fucking...DO THIS
Watching it via GiantBomb, just like I do every year
Xbox One X get in wide colour gamut gigaflopz megahertz terrabytes i'm so erect right now
New Metro game holy shit yes
I think I'll upgrade to XB1X at Xmas. Mainly just to play Fallout 4 in 4K, but yeah.
Have Microsoft and/or Sony realised that they need to double pump exclusive titles to get $$$?
Best Microsoft conference in years, fair play to them.
I feel like I've got enough out of Metro. Anthem looks like Bioware's crack at Destiny because that's a thing people want? I'm more intrigued to see if Sony show some Shenmue, God of War, Death Stranding or if From's logo turns up anywhere.
Maybe the FF VII remake which doomed IO Interactive, as well.
Easy Allies > GiantBomb. Excitement and enthusiasm > snarkiness.
Yep, it was really, really good. Clearly influenced by Sonys last year, games on games on games with way less talking compared to previous MS. Breezed through the specs in like 5 minutes.
Shenmue and Death Stranding are confirmed to not be shown.
Expecting lots of Spiderman, GoW, new Sucker Punch.
Asscreed: Origins is unlikely to do anything drastically different but I do rather like the look of the setting.
Nah, the bread and butter stealth looks a little safe. Eagle vision being an actual eagle is interesting. Certainly eliminates the need for a mini-map if you just tag as you go.
I mean, of course it's safe, it's Ubis biggest franchise that they need to sell tons of. It's going to be focus tested to hell and back, but I'd still say that this looks to be the biggest shift in gameplay mechanics that the series has ever seen between games.
Did you watch the demo from MS conference?

You no longer have the "only one enemy attacks at once" thing, and it looks more Dark Soulsy (but like a shit version of it). You also have a loot system that looks about or more extensive than the one that's in Horizon Zero Dawn.
There was also an article about the game in Game Informer with this info:
All new info: • Started working on game before unity • Brand new fighting system • New A.I. • No minimap but a elder scrolls type compass at top • No more sprinting button, speed depends on analog stick • Crouching is back • Story is being kept a secret • Eagle vision is a subtle pulse that highlights objects not enemies • Takes place during the ascent and reign of cleopatra • You can climb everything in the game • Large and small cities with many landmarks including Memphis and Alexandria • The controllable eagle leak was true • NPC's have a day/night cycle and includes time for them to eat, sleep, work, and "answer the call of nature" • Attack buttons are the right shoulder and trigger • A.I. does not take turns to attack • New combat system is more hit-box driven • As you fight, an adrenaline gauge fills up, and when both attack buttons are pressed powerful attacks are unleashed • Left shoulder button is lock on • There are treasures to find in the depths of the water (sunken ships, long-forgotten ruins) • Stat element of customization is removed • New gear system where players can improve specific parts of your gear by crafting materials • Leveling system that has a level cap of 40 • Bayek is not the only playable character in the game but that character is a secret • There are legendary items to loot in the game • You can add blocked arrows to your inventory • You can no longer one hit enemies that are more powerful than you with your hidden blade • Buttons for free-running up and down are removed • Puzzles are back but more challenging and less switches • Much more in depth ability graph with 3 paths (Seer, Warrior, Hunter) • There are gladiator battles in arenas"
Nah, I'd only seen a brief clip of it. The combat's needed an overhaul for ages so hopefully all that works out.
Shenmue, Death Stranding and FFVII have all been confirmed that they won't be there.
'A Way Out' looks like the most interesting game to come out in years but will be crap.
Meanwhile there's a GOAT-contender game out on Early Access. It's fantastic. Watch one playthrough to get the gist and then give it a bang. It's incredible.
People actually watch E3? Huh.
I listen to other people watching it like a podcast/Mystery Science Theatre thing and then check out any trailers that pique my interest.
Let's see how close I can get.
Battlefield will be going to the Eastern Front.
EA will be ripping off whatever did well last year (do they have a team shooter a la Overwatch yet?)
One or both of MS/Sony will announce a new iteration of their console with added NUMBERS
Umpteen other publishers will outline their focus tested, generic as fuck AAA skinner boxes none of which will have anything interesting to say or bear much resemblance to what is eventually released
You will not be able to trust anything Randy Pitchford says
Yes
Sort of. Anthem is basically Destiny, but that success is older than last year and Bioware has been developing it for a while.
Yes
Probably
That's permanent. Not really impressive calling that one.
