No-one else on Path of Exile 2? Tis a banger.
No-one else on Path of Exile 2? Tis a banger.
I've had the first one in my steam library for a while and not touched it. It's a Diablo clone, right?
I'm not a big fan of how they've stuck with completely unintuitive designs for stuff like loot filters and the likes. Still the best game in the genre mind you, just feels a bit lazy.
Started playing the new Indiana Jones game. I did the entire tutorial and it got to a point where you jump over a gap, I presumed they'd not want tne entire thing to come to a crashing half not no you were supposed to stop. I fell down a big hole. The game crashed. I now have to do the first 45 to an hour again. So I will be doing that some other time when I'm less annoyed about it.
It's coming to game pass on release. Meant to be shit hot.
I have gotten back into Baldur's Gate 3 the last few days.
I liked it when I originally got it but felt pretty overwhelmed by all the info. Decided to play it without really caring about min/maxing and just having a bit of fun.
Liking it a lot more now that I'm not so concerned about playing it trying to have the best build and most optimal plot.
Started Baldur's Gate 3. Very different type of game to what I'd normally play but enjoying it a lot so far. Still in the starter area and not sure who I'll put in my party yet but just collecting them up
Are you on console RD? Does it control well if so?
I did too but none of it makes any sense to me.
Just had my first wipe in BG3.
Got battered by a massive matriarch spider and her children.
The Game Awards didn't offer much for me. Witcher 4 is coming. And an Okami sequel. And Naughty Dog are doing a sci-fi something but Neil Druckmann's writing it. OH, the SIFU guys doing a multiplayer football game. That's actual mad shit.
And the new Mafia game is coming out in the summer.![]()
If it wasn't for Balatro, Path of Exile 2 would easily be my GOTY. Its so so fucking good.

This 100% happened in St Helens and Baz has to be involved, I just don't know which one he is yet.
@Baz enlighten us please?
Can recommend Metaphor Re-fantazio. Understand why it was nominated for game of the year.
Fucking knew it.
Anyone into rhythm games? Currently trying Muse Dash. It's fun but I am terrible at it.
I've finally finished Resident Evil 4 for the first time. I think what put me off is all the failed attempts made me very familiar and sick of the village section. The combat's still pretty strong but the QTE's completely take the piss in a couple of sections. Babysitting Ashley wasn't too bad and I do like the little section she gets on her own. Regenerators suck.
That leaves 0 and 5 as my unfinished Resident Evils. I'm in no rush to go near them yet.
Yeah, even as someone who liked the RE2 Remake, Resident Evil 4 didn't need it. I also don't care for the spongy enemies in the remakes. RE4 works in no small part due to having reliable feedback.
I know I am late to this party, but Slay the Spire is good.
I still try play one run per day, but I am hopelessly stuck on the ascensions.
Ironclad: A19
Silent: A18
Defect: A19
Watcher: A19
I reckon I've played over 100 Silent runs trying to beat A18, but only been close once.
Slay the Spire 2 coming this year.
I don't know what any of that means. The farthest I've made it is to the third floor. No idea how much more there is, but my guess is a lot more.
Then it will probably blow your mind how deep the card deck building can be, and how good some people get at it in order to beat the hardest levels.
Hey, Ninja Gaiden is back. And Black.
I installed Inscryption at around 11pm. It’s now 6am. What a game. Truly haunting while minimalist.
Booted up Civ5 for the first time in years yesterday at about 8pm'ish. Only managed to drag myself away at 1.30am. Got obsessed with converting the Venetians to Shinto and trying to conquer Riga.
Speaking of Civ, I decided to boot up Civ 6 last week to try and get into it (I had tried 2 or 3 times before) and I'm into it pretty hard.
Played a lot since that day and have pre-ordered Civ 7.
I'm not good at the game, I lost my first game on Prince against Australia. This was annoying as fuck as they pissed me off early and I kept trying to wipe them off the map, I was also just a few turns away from finally having nukes to take them out.
Second game I decided to knock it down to Chieftain as I realised that I didn't know how to win the first game (outside of domination) and was just playing the game for fun. Game randomly gave me Australia so I re-rolled and it gave me Poland and I won with a religious victory which was fun.

Yeah, the vast number of win conditions is nice so you don't end up following the same path each time. I'm rarely a warmonger, but in my first game back, I was spinning wars like plates. Ethiopians settled a city a few turns before I did just where I wanted one so I besieged it for yonks.
I've not got the time or patience (or probably the hardware, tbh) to get Civ6 going, so I'm going to stick with 5 (have installed the big community patch and balance fixes). One thing that has always bugged me a bit about Civ5 is that so few cities, if any, ever get founded inland. The vast majority are coastal, and I find myself gravitating towards that way of playing.
Maybe I'll try a pangaea map next time. Also, by about the two hour mark, I'm barely actually thinking about what I'm doing. New research? Just click anything. New production? Just click anything. I get singularly focused on certain objectives that I barely scratch the surface of the game.
I think I probs need to up the difficulty a notch too. Think I've generally always played on Warlord, but it's probs time to go with Prince.
GTA Vice City built in the GTA IV engine is out.

Take-Two waiting until 2 days before they released it, despite knowing about it the whole time, to can them is a serious dick move.
To be honest, it doesn't look any better than the (now patched) Definitive Edition.
Season 2 BLOPS starts at 1700.![]()
I am now in act 3 of inscryltion. I refuse to say anything. If you like card games. Play it. There is nothing in existence like it.
^ strong agree.
You'll want to spell it right to find it though. Inscryption.
Played the new Sniper Elite last night in coop with a friend. Seems decent.![]()
Decent deal on PS+ membership right now. Sony have discounted the Extra and Premium tiers to £75 and £78 respectively. You can also get a £70 top up for around £60 from ShopTo/CD Keys. So all in you can get the top tier for £68 which they list as for £120 for a year.
Tried a Domination victory in Civ 6 as I was given the Scythians.
I was on a continent with Alexander the Great and the Spanish. I quickly took out the Spanish as they never settled a second city and it didn't take long to bump out Alexander after that.
From there it was slow as Germany, Australia and Poland were on another continent and by the time I was able to get over there my units were outdated. I did manage to take Poland's OG capital so I only need Australia and Germany but they were too strong.
I also lost sight of what other nations were doing (I knew Poland had converted all Civs to her religion bar mine but she wasn't sending over many religious units, until she did) and I thought my real competition was Germany as they were close to science. In the end me losing track of what Poland were doing fucked me and they converted.
I did manage to build nukes but I was still quite far from being able to deploy them![]()
I have pre-ordered Civ 7 so this is probably it for me on 6.
Inscryption is completed and I'm lost for words. Every moment of that game will stay with me for years to come. I didn't enjoy all of it, some of it was convoluted/clunky and yet every second of it will be burnt into my mind. A true masterpiece.
