See, I chalked Kanoute off because I thought he switched to Mali in his Sevilla days.

I thought that would be the toughest one. Burundi international Berahino managed 14 goals in 2014-15.

Kanu has already been said, but Yeboah and Odemwingie are both correct also.

Just 3 names left, don't miss the 18-19 joint top scorer with Mane & Salah.

I have no idea who 98 would be if it wasn't Ekoku. Surely not Wreh?

Foe is correct for 02-03, with 9 goals. Ekoku scored 4 goals in 97-98, with the top African goalscorer getting 5.

Having looked up the 98 one (even that with great difficulty), my clue would be it's someone who is known neither for being African nor for having succeeded at all in the PL.

He's probably an English guy that played for an Afircan country because he was too shit for England (Robbie Earle).

    Someone like Marcus Bent?

None of the above. The player is duel citizenship Ivorian/French if that helps, and is (apparently) a bit of a cult hero at the Premier League club he turned out for.

I had a list of African goalscorers just in front of me and nobody jumped out. French Ivorian doesn't help in the slightest. I was looking for the least African names.

    There goes my theory then.

If you tell us who he played for, will that give it away?

Not particularly - he played for West Ham between 1997 and 2000, with short spells on loan at Ipswich and Walsall.

I barely remember him, but I remember him as French rather than African.

That was a good one though.

It was a little contentious, but he was described as Ivorian in most places I checked. I'll try and get another question up shortly.

As a quickfire follow-up to the last one, can you name all of the top Premier League goalscorers from the Americas & Caribbean for each season?

    McBride
