Looking at Everton's fixtures, I wouldn't be shocked to see them in the top four by New Year.
Is that accounting for your hard-on that you have for them?
Of course. Deulofeu for Ballon d'Or next year.
I'll take Hull. Avoiding the Premier League teams is all I was hoping for, so we can hopefully go through and then meet one or two later.
It'll be a tough match away from home but, given the gap between us and 7th, we can afford to play our first eleven (Hughton likes a settled side anyway).
I was the only person who had Palace in the top seven in our pre-season predictions thread.
Let's forget that I had Leicester going down and Wayne Rooney winning Player of the Year/top goal-scorer. Is this bet with Taz still valid, Benny?
Could have seen that coming. Tim Howard is awful.
I also had Rooney top scorer.
I'll take the rest of mine though. Chelsea winners and CL semi finalists, but eh.
Taz better return to pay that. Oi, @Don.
Tom had Chelsea down to win the treble?
Surely that Pocchettino bet is for this season, so there's still time for him to get sacked/leave.
7 people had Leicester going down. Although that's actually not that many proportionally.
I wrote a paragraph about it and had a mare either side of this slightly better middle passage:
I also went for Rooney as top scorer/player of the year, which on current form is a bit like voting for Barney Rubble to be US President.ahead of surprise package West Ham. Liverpool will not feature in the top 8 at any stage and Rodgers will be sacked in January, replaced by a really try hard continental appointment that will slightly improve matters and have them dreaming again this time next year.
Craig Bellamy's taken over from G-Nev?
I'm a twit
I usually wouldn't like Arsenal in the cup, but being away and with us getting several thousand I might be able to get myself a ticket to a ground otherwise out of my reach.
I can't see that happening. I think there'll be so much confidence in the squad that they'll be thinking they can knock out a Premier League team, and I think they'll want to challenge themselves as well.
It depends on fitness, but I think we'll give it all we've got in both competitions.
It's not a case of confidence, I just doubt they'll pick their best players. Sadly, the magic of the cup has no bearing when the golden goose is perhaps within reach.
In other news I'm going to the Ipswich and Wolves games.
The person I go with missed his first home game of the season this weekend just gone.
Good to go to those, there'll be a nice festive atmosphere.
New Year's Day games are great.
Yeah it is, they're changing it each week for the rest of the season.
I was out, was he any good?
West Ham away, what the allocation like in that place these days? Reckon we will get a lot?
Test.
Probably about 5000, if other games I've been to is any indication. Might get myself down for that game depending on ticket prices.
Fucking buzzing with our draw.
I think we had about 6k there a few years ago in the cup. Might have had the upper as well.
Crazy stuff.
Pretty much the same players, too.
