England tours of the Caribbean are an absolute gold mine for the holiday isles of Antigua/Barbados/Dominica etc, right to the point they have different ticket prices for locals and English, it's about fleecing the sunburned twats for as much as they have. A pity really when you think back to the old days of thousands of Jamaicans or Trinidadians hollering from the ramparts as their boys rampaged through England.

I did enjoy that we only made 99 and then subsequently didn't even take one wicket. Ian Bell and the Big Cheese opening was an interesting choice. We didn't even go down purely swinging madly. There's a hell of a lot of dot balls there.

Needless to say, the Australian commentators spent the whole of day 3 bemoaning our refusal to declare when 80 or so behind 'for the good of the game'. I think they've all been fucked in the head somewhere along the line.
The U19s are into the final then, tight win over Afghanistan.
The more classic England thing to do would have been to take those 3 wickets in the 46th over leaving them a nigh on impossible task before binning it in spectacular style in the last.

Took all 4 of his wickets with the googly didn't he? The 3rd was a long hop, but the others were pretty good deliveries. Pleased for Sales he took the catch in the deep as well, he must have felt like shit.
We should have walked it but it was a great watch. Boyden and Aspinwall look to be tidy bowlers. Ahmed is one of the enigmas that would be a sure-fire hit in any other white-ball team in the world, but I can't help but feel England are gunna England with him.
Adil Rashid's success in overcoming his own total mismanagement for about a decade is one of the more underrated achievements in contemporary cricket. It's nigh on a miracle, and as Matt Parkinson has discovered, we haven't in any way learned the lessons.
