    Why not?

The cinema is the least social 'social' thing there is.

Nothing wrong with hitting the cinema on your own.

The bigger problem is that Alien Covenant sounds like absolute bobbins.

I've never been on my own as I love a good debrief over a pint afterwards. Nowt wrong with going on your own if that doesn't bother you though.

I've been a couple of times. The only hassle is having to take your coat with you if you need to go for a piss.

I don't know, it's just one of them things I couldn't really do. I'd prefer going with people and like to talk about it with people after it.

A cinema should have toilets located directly beside each screen. It pisses me off (haha) that it takes so long to go to the loo and get back in.

Another thing to hate on Superhero movies for.

When you have ninety billion screens showing 'man-child her0 wank 4' it's going to be difficult to have enough toilets in close proximity.

I've only ever seen two movies in a cinema on my own; Wolf of Wall Street and Fast 7. Think both of them would have been worse with other people tbh.

I dunno what my obsession with Boom is lately, but that's just made me think.

Imagine him rocking up next to you at a urinal and undoing his two zips one after the other. People must have actually been subjected to that experience.

Boom is of those that hangs around for 10 minutes waiting for a cubicle, so it's never an issue.

    Raw

I've not had a reaction to a horror movie like that since Martyrs. Its a far slower burn, building up the situation and the horror. It feels hostile, it feels off. For those wondering, yes there's moments of gore but they are a necessity to the film as a whole. The ending left me open mouthed.*The way its about identity and self and belonging, the alienation of university and slowly finding yourself as an outcast.

Will take something special for it not to be my film of the year.

Thought Trainspotting 2 was really poor, again due to a non-existent script.

    Watched Suicide Squad.

Usually a fan of superhero movies but this really was a piece of shit on the scale of Batman vs Superman. Non existent plot, no real character development barring Deadshot and Diablo (and even his was done very poorly) and no real climax or crescendo to the action.

In short, you watch this for Will Smith as he's genuinely the only person who comes out of this movie with any credibility.

    He plays Deadshot and to be fair to the other actors, Smith shines because his character is the only one that gets any room to breathe, you can tell he was allowed to have a little flexibility. Otherwise you have;

Diablo - Token Mexican bandito, gets a little bit of development towards the end but very poorly done.
Harley Quinn - Token bimbo (which is an absolute travesty because she is so much more 3 dimensional in the comics she's in, she's one of the most interesting characters DC have and they really ruined her here)
Katana - Token silent serious killer. Japanese Samurai so something we've obviously NEVER seen before.
Captain Boomerang - Token drunken Aussie. In fact he's so pointless in the movie you could have taken him out and nothing would have changed.
Killer Croc - Token feral type (again, he's one of DC's more fleshed out and interesting villains so it's a shame here)
Rick Flag - ALL AMERICAN HERO YES SIR, PLEASE OBEY THE RULES SIR.

And unfortunately the scripting means that even if you had a hybrid of the best actors ever, you'd struggle to do much with the roles.

I saw the directors cut of BvS this weekend. Didn't really think it deserves all the hate it gets. It's plodding, and Eisenberg is terrible in it, but I appreciate the overall ambition.

They should've skipped adding the final villain.

From the couple of clips I've seen, and the fact that it's a musical, I could safely say it's turd.

I haven't seen it either, but it's pretty obvious what it'll be like from having seen only a minuscule number of clips.

OK then you little fucker I will explain shit to you bitch.

What I mean is that you are not being helpful.

As for the linguistics, being "[whatever the fuck] in hell" is just how some rednecks speak in the US sometimes and it's fun to paraphrase.

Went to see Guardians of The Galaxy 2 today. Absolutely loved it, far and away my favourite Marvel films.

They're a lot less sterile and more slapstick than the others. Some of the dialogue was hilarious.

I went to see the new Pirates film today.

It was better than the last one but still a pile of steaming turd.

Just over 2 hours but it felt like 3 hours. They could have cut out almost half of the whole film and it would have been so much better.

It goes without saying he wasn't a fan, but due to even those that are in it not being arsed with the film there was no studio guest to interview to promote it, so they took a trip down memory lane with clips of the last 4 films and reviews (well, all except the first as they don't have it any more - they should have asked me).

The critics always try to out-do each other hammering these sorts of films, seemingly forgetting that they're aimed at eleven year olds. Speaking of which, the advert for the new Transformers suggests that not much shite doesn't get blown up.

Not a great trio of films so far this weekend.

Watched John Wick the other night - plot was an absolute load of horse cock, but the man sure does love headshots.
