There's a pre-set break in the film (at least on my DVD copy) as you have to turn it over.
So when I watched it I had a 30 minute break before diving into the second half.

And what did you think of it Mahow?
Most old films I see, while worth watching, just aren't as good as is claimed.
It's a Wonderful Life and 12 Angry Men, I'm looking at you.
I thought 12 Angry Men was brilliant. I haven't seen all that many classics though.
I was expecting 12 Angry Men to be a quite brilliantly structured plot and while it does have its moments, it mostly consists of Henry Fonda saying "but is it possible" (in that really irritating shouty tone that all actors in film at the time used), over and over again.
First time I've ever sen a bad word written about 12 Angry Men.
Loved 12 Angry Men.
To Kill a Mockingbird is the great actually shit old film. God that's fucking boring.
Have a read of some of these then:

Probably exclusively written by mentalists, but there we are.
And don't get me wrong, I think it's a very good film, but 7/8 out of 10 stuff rather than the masterpiece it's portrayed as.
I suggest you all watch 'The Room' together. It's more than worth it.
In terms of old films that really do hold up, I reckon that Casablanca and Dr Strangelove both do the trick.
I just watched St. Vincent. It's bloody great. Anyone seen it? I'm sure it was probably mentioned on the old board.
Speaking of a bit less than four hours, I'm planning on watching Lawrence of Arabia for the first time this week for history extra credit. I'm going to try and rent out the theater at the student union here to watch it, as it seems like a film that really needs a big screen. But we shall see...
It's the greatest film ever made.
After the never-ending hoaxes we're now only two days away from the actual Back to the Future Day.

And the Cubs are still on track to reach the World Series.
If they win (for the first time since 1908), I'm calling shenanigans.
Seriously? Is that a really unlikely thing too?
The Cubs have been legendarily terrible for a hundred years. They haven't made the World Series since 1945, and they haven't won it, as noted above, since 1908. There's a Wikipedia article about The Curse of the Billy Goat, which is worth a quick read:

Putting them in Back to the Future as the world series champions was a deliberate joke as to how far in the future it was, because the idea of it happening was so implausible.
Your edit there Ital makes it look like I can't read.
I know nothing about Baseball, but a quick read of (some of) that and the realisation that they're pretty close to making it does make it seem a very odd coincidence.
Coincidentally I've just come across a Forbes advert while looking at Fallout 4 stuff which said this:

The success of the Chicago Cubs this year has been built in part on their influx of young talent, including players Kris Bryant and Kyle Schwarber.
I didn't realise that Game 2 had started when I posted. Still, three home games after this. If they sweep those, they'll be looking alright.
I'm surprised you know anything about it to be honest.
Come to think of it, that Lachlan guy was weirdly obsessed with American college sports, even odd stuff like lacrosse. Is Australia big into American sports for some reason?
I've just booked Star Wars tickets for my birthday... 2 months in advance. What is this madness?
I'm confidently predicting that this will be one of the worst comedy movies ever made.

AbFab.
Really?
Jesus no. That show was horrid.
I'm getting mixed up with Birds of a Feather.
That makes more sense, albeit still far from justifiable.
This is amazing.
Hmmm.

Does not look good.
Lol @ the people buying tickets months in advance.
It's not just a few people either.

Star Wars nerds are the worst gimps.
Boydy not liking something popular? That's a turn-up for the books.
I got a swelling watching the trailer.
Yeah, that's probably legit.
I pretty much jizzed my pants at the trailer. Seems like they're not going to fuck it up.
I saw the new ones as a kid/young teen and thought they were brilliant. I saw the originals last year (or this year?) and loved them so rewatched the newer ones. Awful. Absolutely awful.
I loathe Star Wars in a manner I loathe little else.
That trailer was so good. Probably better than the movie itself will be, though I have high hopes.
I already know I'm going to watch Star Wars, so I'm not bothering with the trailer. It won't tell me anything I'm not going to find out eventually.
I feel like people will like it regardless of if its any good. Because Episodes I & II were so damn bad, people just seemed to decide that Episode III was good. It wasn't though, was it? New one will probably get the same treatment.
I'm a twit
I watched Mad Max: Fury Road the other day and enjoyed it but I don't know why there were people getting so giddy about it. It looked pretty swish in places but I'm not sure what the point of getting Tom Hardy in to say about four words was.
