Just watched Chungking Express. Not sure how I felt about the film as a whole but the cinematography was incredible.
Tried to watch Bladerunner twice now, fallen asleep as he interviews Rachel the robot both times.
The lens flares in that movie are god awful.

Sounds a bit like that time I watched Avatar and thought it was bad cause it had blue people in it and people aren't blue, they are people coloured, so I thought that's not how people work! And was very upset about it.

Grimbsy turned out to be dire. Started average, tailed off in the middle and less said about the ending the better.

The Revenant. The visuals were good, but other than that it was three hours of my life which added nothing to it.
I watched the Big Short last night again. It really is brilliant and amazing at the same time how it all came together and unravelled.
Deadpool is a bit poor.
American Honey, aimless yet entertaining.
It was a bit dull I thought. Never a best picture winner.
I'm not sure that that is in di Caprio's top 5 performances either, so a bit off that he won the Oscar for it.

Watched it for the first time the other day and enjoyed it. Steve Carell pretty much nailed his role.
Watched a few films recently whilst feeling like the cunt of death:
I Am Not A Serial Killer - An odd film. Feels indie and odd at times then it goes certified psycho and its all a bit of a brilliant mess.
The Accountant - The role Ben Affleck was born to play. All silly over the top nonsense that passes the time well.
The Autopsy of Jane Doe - Fantastic opening 45 minutes then it shits the bed completely and turns into a generic pile of wank.
Blair Witch - The new one. A fucking embarrassment of a film.
Do Not Resist - Yet another doc on how fucked up Murica is. Good insight into their batshit system of handing down military grade equipment to local police. Do we need bayonets? Of course we fucking do!
The VVitch - How to do horror right. Banging fucking film.
I really enjoyed The Revenant. Not sure it added anything to my life, bit it is a quite good film. The Big Short was also pretty good, much better than I expected.
The Revenant was the best film of 2015. So nerr to all naysayers.
