Also that looks utterly dreadful. Who thought it would be a good idea to Michael Bay The Mummy?

Check out Filmstruck, it's like Netflix but for good / foreign movies: https://watch.filmstruck.com/#!/criterion

Just watched Chungking Express. Not sure how I felt about the film as a whole but the cinematography was incredible.

Tried to watch Bladerunner twice now, fallen asleep as he interviews Rachel the robot both times.

The lens flares in that movie are god awful.

and these god damn lens flares

THAT'S NOT HOW THEY WORK AND THEY DON'T STAY PERFECTLY CIRCULAR IN MOVEMENT WHILE THE CAMERA IS STILL. ARHGHGHGHGHGHG.

Genuinely though I've just been a bit tired, I'll give it a go when I'm not.

How Jeff knows about the alien's count down until attack, but the government dont. I'm worried.

He's still managing to do a fair bit with it considering he's probably using dial up Internet.

It can't be that bad, surely! Does the nostalgia get you through it?

You'd think it would, but it is very very bad. And not bad in a good way like the original.

Sounds a bit like that time I watched Avatar and thought it was bad cause it had blue people in it and people aren't blue, they are people coloured, so I thought that's not how people work! And was very upset about it.

I get that with Asian cinema.

I just hate it that normal people, in the normal world have become 'masters of Kung Fu' and are able to run up walls and fight in mid-air.

Declare it's magic and I'll be on board.

    Just watched Perfect Strangers:

    http://www.imdb.com/title/tt4901306/

Group of friends have a dinner party, with a twist. They openly read any text, email, or whatsapp conversation, and put all calls received onto voice. As ever, secrets are revealed.

A light, gentle drama with solid performances and overall fucking well good like.

Watching Grimbsy. Nonsense, but funny enough.

Also watched Trainwreck last night. Whilst the blonde lady can't act very well, the film was quite good.

    Good film that.

Grimbsy turned out to be dire. Started average, tailed off in the middle and less said about the ending the better.

That looks like it won't even attempt to answer any of the questions raised in Prometheus. Is Damon Lindelof still involved?

Indeed. I reckon it's going to be really annoying; ignore all previous shit, and just make up a load more crap. I wonder weather all the crew will hate each other for no discernible reason?

There was a really good theory about her being a robot, but Damon Lindelof dismissed it. But then he's a wanker so fuck him.

The Revenant. The visuals were good, but other than that it was three hours of my life which added nothing to it.

I'm not sure that that is in di Caprio's top 5 performances either, so a bit off that he won the Oscar for it.

Watched a few films recently whilst feeling like the cunt of death:

I Am Not A Serial Killer - An odd film. Feels indie and odd at times then it goes certified psycho and its all a bit of a brilliant mess.

The Accountant - The role Ben Affleck was born to play. All silly over the top nonsense that passes the time well.

The Autopsy of Jane Doe - Fantastic opening 45 minutes then it shits the bed completely and turns into a generic pile of wank.

Blair Witch - The new one. A fucking embarrassment of a film.

Do Not Resist - Yet another doc on how fucked up Murica is. Good insight into their batshit system of handing down military grade equipment to local police. Do we need bayonets? Of course we fucking do!

The VVitch - How to do horror right. Banging fucking film.

The Revenant was the best film of 2015. So nerr to all naysayers.
