All of the accents in Highlander.
All of the accents in Highlander.
Sean Connery in basically anything.
A Scot playing The Spaniard who is actually Egyptian in a Scottish accent is top notch.
Stephen Graham’s accent in Bodies was hilarious
Listen, lad, I've let you get away with some shit over the years - APPROPRIATING "avin' a piss" being the tip of the iceberg - don't start talking shit about Stephen Graham. I will find you.
He’s great but his voice just sounded funny in it.
The worst accent ever, of serious attempts (Dick van Dyke etc need not apply), was Pierce Brosnan doing an Irish accent in Taffin, which is pretty ace from him.
Cage in Captain Corelli's Mandolin will never be beaten.
All of Wild Mountain Thyme.
Fittingly as we talk about silly accents: I watched Russell-Crowe-doing-Italian vehicle The Pope's Exorcist last night. It's not good, obviously, but I did have a lot of fun watching it and it looked like Crowe was having a good time as well.
I want to watch that so glad you approve, I heard it is the better exorcism film between that and the new Exorcist Believer tripe.
Pope's Exorcist has 49% from critics on Rotten Tomatoes and 81% for fan scores, which tells you the sort of thing it is. Those sorts of discrepancies usually point to something which is bollocks but a good laugh.

The title alone tells you that.
A quick Google tells me that there's a sequel in development
It's a fucking great film (as in its trash but great) and you can tell Crowe is loving it
The Pope's Exorcist was great fun. I saw it in the cinema and thoroughly enjoyed it.
Saw Napoloeon last night and it was pretty disappointing.
Is The Iron Claw ‘out’ yet?
I'm a twit
Lol no

Lists most of the major leaks and releases, just scroll down for the latest.
Unhinged featuring fat psychotic Russell Crowe is good fun too.
Holdovers was pretty nice. Giamatti is a don as always.
I watched The Running Man last night. It's not one of Arnie's classics, but I had no idea/recollection that Mick Fleetwood is in it. And credit to the make up people who made '2017' Mick Fleetwood in the film actually look quite a lot like Mick Fleetwood does now.
It very much is one of his classics.
Yep, The Running Man is a proper film.
It wouldn't come close to threatening his top 5 for me.
The action in it is just okay and it doesn't have a classic one-liner in it either.
It's alright, because it's Arnie, but no more than that. (Obviously it gets some bonus points for also having Jesse Venture chewing lots of scenery.)
Have you seen his action back catalogue? Comfortably shits on the likes of End of Days, Eraser and The 6th Day, never mind the modern efforts.
If your bar for a classic is that it's better than The 6th Day then you're gonna shit your pants when you learn about a bunch of other films that exist. You're in for a treat.
I watched Total Recall for the first time last night. It was one of the worst films I've ever seen. Slight hyperbole because I've seen some absolute stinkers but in terms of 'Culturally relevant and successful films' it was fucking abysmal.
The Arnie one? Probably a stupid question actually, I don't think anybody's called the Colin Farrell one culturally relevant.
What you want is Scottish Total Recall.
"Beef olives are oan me!"
Yeah really Paul Verhoeven should have bombed off adapting Phillip K Dick for the screen and filmed some Shadow the Hedgehog AI script instead.
Just give me a Verhoeven Robocop 2.
With triple titted prostitutes and midget hookers toting machine guns, I'd buy that for a dollar.
Why does Timothee Chalamet keep getting miscast in very good roles. I’ve not seen it but he seems like a terrible pick for Wonka and now I’ve read he’s playing Bob Dylan. Should be the bloke from The Bear, let’s be honest.
I'm a twit
There's another Wonka film?
I'd just hope it's better than the last abomination.
It surely can't be worse.
This one's reviewing quite well isn't it? It's probably entirely unnecessary but if it's a laugh that's not so bad.
Hugh Grant starring as an Oompa-Loompa. Some range.
I watched Maestro the other day. It's pretty boring and self-indulgent, and was seemingly made solely to win himself an Oscar (if he doesn't Carey Mulligan will); but for all the shite about Jewing up with a fake nose the make-up is incredible, particularly in the scenes where he's older.
I watched the 1991 Scorcese version of Cape Fear last night. Not the most festive watch but it was on iPlayer and it's one of the more notable films from all involved that I've yet to see. It was quite good. It got a bit daft at times but I enjoyed it. 7/10 I would I say.
I can't think of another occasion where I've seen De Niro commit to an accent. I'm sure other examples must exist but off the top of my head I'm struggling to think of any, he just sounds like De Niro usually. So seeing/hearing him do some sort of psychopathic take on a Southern gentleman was interesting.
I've also never seen the original either so it was one of those "oh...." moments of clarity when I quickly realised that whole, particular Sideshow Bob episode of The Simpsons is basically entirely based on it.
Indeed, that episode was even called 'Cape Feare'.
This kids Spiderman Marvel crossover film isn't nearly as bad as I was expecting it to be.
Which? Into the Spider-Verse? It's the best super hero film. The second is good too, but not as good, I didn't think.
Took the kids to see Wonka a couple days ago. It's actually alright, however Timothy just doesn't quite have it.
They did well with the look of him, but there's just nothing behind the eyes. It's hard to describe but you can clearly tell he's reading lines from a script. He also doesn't seem like he's great singer.
