Separate the chocolate and caramel from the biscuit. Melt the former, smash the latter to bits in a bowl, and proceed as instructed.

I've tried that, you just get half granulated and half icing sugar.

If you've 'got some flour kicking about' you leave it in the cupboard. Have a wank if you're that bored.

He doesn't have a blender, I wasn't about to assume he had a mortar and pestle. A bowl and the back of a spoon will do the job if it's a Twix you're smashing up.

But then I'd have to deal with the post-wank blues that come with that.

I'm ready to go to war against Quinoa. It's an absolutely awful product. Who goes, "You know what this rice needs? Crunchiness.". It's got to the point where people think it's acceptable to serve a quinoa salad instead of a taboule or one of it's many not shit friends.

Also the fact that it's Keenwah not Kwi-Noah just makes it that extra level of hateful.

edit: Oh the threads moved onto the Mediocre Boydy Bake Off. My comments still stand even if they are a little redundant.

You can do both. Blended chestnut soup with a load of potato, carrot, some broad beans, and strips of beef thrown in is great. My aunt does it at Christmas every year, though being a vegetarian she omits the beef in her own pot, and it's always superb.

If your quinoa is crunchy then you're doing it wrong.

Went to Almost Famous in Manchester yesterday lunchtime, the 'Good Morning America' burger includes a poptart and cheerios and appears to cater exclusively to twats

    It wasn't that bad.

They were all on the side when it came out, mainly because it all fell apart. All the other burgers had Frazzles in too, but I didn't bother as that sounded a bit weird.

Heron have got a job lot of this in, and, whilst the branding is nothing short horrific, the vanilla custard one is incredible. Has anybody had it?

I bought some (I'm eating it with apple crumble as we speak), because Heron is amazing and they're going for a quid a tub. Nobody else seems to be buying it because it's obviously too new and RADICAL, so I might pack the freezer with it. The dog likes ice cream and custard, so I'll say it's for him when he comes back.

How does custard flavoured ice cream work? Isn't ice cream essentially made from a custard base anyway (if done properly)?

I made custard once (for a large tart) and it is probably the greatest thing I have ever made.

After filling the pastry I sat in front of about 10 people at our house just eating the leftovers right from the pan. They probably all thought I was a cunt for not even letting them try but they'd have had to kill me to get to it.

I sometimes even buy those cold custard pots and eat them.

Not as great as the home-made stuff but it's still glorious.

That does sound delicious to be fair. I'd be tempted to grill a couple of chicky breasts, cut them in to strips and chuck them in too.

Done some pulled pork (wanker) for tomorrow lunch, had to shred it this morning due to not having the time to do it later. I couldn't tell if I was nauseous or hungry by the smell and sight of it at 7am.

Does anyone here make their own ice cream? Trying blood orange ice cream (paired with dark chocolate ice cream makes for a chocolate orange master-class) on holiday has convinced me to buy a machine.

Possibly the wrong thread, but green tea and almond milk is pretty nice. Unsweetened isn't as good but healthier.
