Had Korean BBQ last night. It was sensational.
Picked myself up a grade 4 [which I assume means marbling score 4] olive fed waygu rib eye for dinner. Going to have it with a 2015 Lacoste-Borie Paulliac for a bit of midweek decadence [the wife is going out].

The steak was decent enough but I'm not convinced it was that much better than a normal one, and certainly not worth the cost uplift. I think it could have done with being thicker but then it'd have had to have been 350-400g which would have been coming in at £35+
Don't think I'm up for Guga level spending really.
Wine was decent, which was a pleasant surprise as I often find that older [ish] bottles of French red are generally terrible [no '84 Latours for me]. Edit, '82 apparently.

Haven’t had it yet. Asda had microwave pasta like the way you get those pouches of rice so I’ve been eating them instead so far.
I had to go into town to grab a new headset from Head Office and stopped at the all new, all shiny Taco Bell for lunch.
It's absolute shite, isn't it? A war crime against the people of Mexico and about as Mexican as Pepe's wife.
It goes along side Wimpy on the list of successful restaurants that mystify me. They must just be money laundering cover for drug rings and cartels. Otherwise I just don't understand who is going to these places more than once.

I remember you could get a bean and cheese burrito from Taco Bell for about 30 cents [in 2006ish] and always thought that would be a fairly affordable way to survive homelessness/destitution.
Can confirm the Taco Bell in Southend is of the right quality to target homeless people, but not the right price.
Taco Bell is absolutely shit, and I say that who has a fairly high tolerance for eating garbage.
