When I saw his post about not having a microwave, I just thought 'I bet he's got some weird thing about microwaves'. I wasn't disappointed.

I dont know what happenes if you put a spud, inthe microwave.
If you put cold chocolate tea in a microwave. I know it heats it just fine.
If you put a plate of food in a microwave. In the middile with be cold.

Not if you use a lower power setting.

I think microwaves are overrated for sure. Anything you can do with one you can do with way better results in an oven. They are useful for liquids and little quick things though

I like those McCain baked spuds. They're no different to a potato you do yourself except they don't take about a week to cook.

I could easily live without one but it can be handy for a quick, no-faff reheat after work.

I heat beans in mine, or reheat dinners in it. I've also perfected scrambled egg in one and would never eat it again if I had to make it on a pan.

Scrap that, once I wanted to eat a mealsquare () at home and due to the lack of microwave I had to attempt grilling it. It did not go well.

We never had a microwave in the house growing up, and I could never figure out if it was my mum or dad that was the nutter behind the policy. I think it was both.

Prawn and salmon salad, avocado, teardrop peppers, alfalfa sprouts and a simple Picante Marie Rose sauce. Greens are just rocket, watercress and baby gem.

    It's surprisingly nice.

I use a grill and dont tell me a toaster prevents burning the bread becuase where I work. Every week we have to evacuate the building becuase some wasteman is using a toaster which sets of the fire alarm for the whole block.

I'm not going to tell you that, I'm going to tell you a toaster is a lot less fucking hassle.

    Your presentation needs work.

That plate is too small for a salad.

Wasteman needs to learn how to change the setting.

Toasters are essential for arguably one of the greatest foods on the face of the planet.

Gents...I dare you to dispute this claim.

I use to like them as a kid, but haven't had one in years. My guess is that I probably wouldn't rate them nowadays.

Bagels though. I even go to the local bagel place at six in the morning just to get the fresh ones.

    Me either.

I reckon they're something that looks quality in theory, but are rubbish in practice.

Sweet potatoes are also the pits, and in chip form they're genuine abominations.

I've never had a Pop Tart either, they look shite and are surely just rubbish for children.

Sweet potatoes have their place and I have enjoyed them in chip form but they very easily turn into mushy awfulness.

Sweet potato chips need to be fried to within an inch of their lives in something good like lard or dripping. These shitty oven or air fry versions that places do are like eating carrots.
