It is odd to think that but a few years ago nobody had the first idea what Black Friday was. Now you have plebs beating each other to death in ASDA with heavily discounted LCD TVs.
I guess Amazon is to blame really.
ASDA have said they're not partaking this year, so you'll have to find a ruck elsewhere. Terrible, really, all these hooligans ruining it very everyone else.
I don't understand how having a fire sale just as we go into the biggest retail month of the year makes any sense. Surely they should be ramping the prices up if anything.
It's an Americanism, they have Thanksgiving as a huge shopping weekend too so you shift a load of old stock so you can move the new stuff out of your distribution centers.
It's led by massive retailers who have tat nobody wants at full prices though. Look at that camera James has posted - at full price of £280 it's barely cheaper than the next model up at £350-ish. Knock £100 off the price and it's a good deal that'll clear in no time. Why do you need a timer feature on your washing machine? Does it not have settings? Is it from 1945?
So I can program it to come on at like 5 in the morning, and hang it all up before I leave, or program it to come on at 3 so it's ready for when I get in.
It's a very basic Indesit we bought second hand for £90 when we moved in to our first flat together in 2009.

I told my Mum I think that she's suffering an onset of OCD. She told me that I was talking nonsense and then 30 seconds later proceeded to straighten my knife and fork at the restaurant we were eating in. Although my Dad has now gotten so bad about 'Have I locked the door' that he's started texting me to take a half hour bus ride to check that, yes, he did lock the door. It's mental.
It's called being an adult. Also I want a 8 or 9kg rather than a 6kg.
Just because the kids put some weight on, there's no need to put her in the washing machine.

When you said you needed a timer I had an image of you stood next to it staring at your watch ready to stop it. I had no idea washing machines could have an automatic schedules, I'm also amazed at those fridges where you can get ice from the door itself.

Hacking someone's fridge and turning the temp down to max so their milk freezes.
If you under-load more powerful washing machines they can smash themselves to bits when your shitty ball of t-shirts turns it into a centrifuge.
Amazon have a 'Garmin Forerunner 910XT GPS Multisport Watch w/Heart Rate Monitor' in a lightning deal in 34 minutes time. Still £174.17 though - not sure how expensive running watches are usually?
Can any of those fitness trackers function on their own or do they all need to be connected to a smartphone to get anything useful out of them? My mum's taken up running but refuses to get a mobile phone.
Forgot to get my missus a birthday present online so now need to brave town today and also miss out on work.

If it's your first running watch I'd recommend a Garmin forerunner ten. They're really easy to use, the more expensive ones have a few too many features.

Anybody know what sort of quality Digihome are? I mean I'm not expecting much for a 49" TV at that price, but the fact it's 1080p is a good start. A few on the HotUKDeals site complaining that the built-in freeview tuner isn't HD but I'm assuming it'd be fine with Sky HD?
Yeah it's got HDMI inputs.
It also has a notably lower refresh rate (50Hz) than pretty much any TV that size (others on Amazon are 200-800) but a lot of places seem to say that's just a number they chuck around that doesn't actually matter...
