I quite like the idea of a celebrity heart attack death. Not often you hear that.
This better not delay the new Star Wars film.

Weird Al's song about 1 is better than the film and makes a suitable replacement if you need the story.
2 is still far, far worse than 1 though. I'll never watch 2 again.
Rick Parfitt out of Status Quo is probably the most significant of the year.
I think the idea that there have been more celebrity deaths this year is just the result of baby boomer idols reaching death age (baby boomers control everything in public discourse). Watch there be just as many next year, and the year after that.
Fucking Parfitt! When it came up on my phone I thought it would be massive heart failure. Momentarily felt bad for my earlier heart attack comment. It was an infection though so we're ok.
The number of celebrities in this day and age has risen exponentially due to the mass consumption of TV/movie/social media. A lot more names to get sad about when they pass.
Most of the big ones this year were musicians who've been around decades, though. Jimmy's idea makes more sense to me, though I doubt next year will see as many.
How many died this year? Can only think of Bowie and Prince.

I doubt more famous people have died, but some big guns went this year. Bowie, Prince, Ali and Cruyff are all pretty huge figures in music and sport.
