My god the new song by The XX is crap. What a shame.
I thought that, after Spotify practically offered me sex to listen to it, presumably because it detected I'd had a listen through their first album a few weeks back.
I've always thought The XX are the biggest load of boring emperor's new clothes WANK.
Some of the stuff on the first album is pretty irresistible. The second one is alright, pretty forgettable . The third one is going to be Jamie XX outtakes if that song's anything to go by.
I think they're one of the best live pop/rock bands in the world though. Their music is made for it really and I can't think of many bands with better on-stage chemistry

Just remembered what a banger this is. Put the album on and whilst there is some more fucking fantastic cheese on it (Cruel Sexuality, Tropical Chancer, SIlent Partner), some of it (Sexotheque, Paradise Is You) is pretty unbearably lame. The next one will definitely be dross.
