Fucking Zlatan. What a player.
Denmark are shite, how has Olsen been coach for this long?

eeeeeeeeeek
That Mexico goal though
I don't think I've ever seen a leg break like that. Best of luck, mate.
I didn't realize just how good Zlatan's record for Sweden was. 62 goals in 111 games. Bendtner on the other hand gave one of the worst center forward performances I've ever seen, if I was Floyd I'd call it completely cowardly.
'Cowardly' isn't used often enough in sport. It's as if it's not manly to call someone it, but you are allowed to call them lazy and other bad things.
I thought the pre-match guff was a bit flat. The coverage was seriously expecting eighty-thousand people to sing the French national anthem (which I'm led to believe isn't even in English) in solidarity. Then the terrorists win don't they mate? We should have booed the fuck out of it to show nothing has changed.
Zlatan's free kick tonight was disconcertingly casual.
Bloody hell that's surely both lower leg bones and the thigh?
I was at the England game last night. The minute's silence/singing was keenly observed and overall it was a pretty good atmosphere. The security wasn't too overt or oppressing and the general vibe was fine, but a little tense.
Fuckloads of people left before the end though. Maybe only a 1/4 were left by full time.
Decent couple of goals but I can't help but think a France team with full mojo would have stomped us. We still move the ball around like it's illegal to play more than two short passes in succession.
I thought we were pretty decent.
We'll get out of the group at the Euros (there are a good 10 genuinely appalling teams that have qualified) and then lose to the first good team we play. That may well be enough for a quarter-final or with a kind draw, a semi.
Roy will certainly have a semi if so.
Yeah, and that's in a Sweden team that since Henrik Larsson retired has basically not had any other player even remotely close to Zlatans level. In a sense it may be a contributing factor in games like against San Marino etc, but still, it's probably more hampering for him.
He's been doing that recently, before he would just always smack it really hard and wide (leaving us frustrated that Seb Larsson never got to take any free kicks) but now he's gotten a lot better at it and has a much smoother touch.
Oh hi:
I'd done so well avoiding previous links but there's always one cunt.
Ruptured his ACL and PCL. Basically, he'll never play again.
"They said they were going to send me to retirement," he said. "I sent their whole nation into retirement."
Test.
Spoiler that shit.
AE's face makes that picture. He knows.
I just noticed that Hong Kong and China are in the same qualifying group. Hong Kong are leading China by three points, and could put even them out. Reckon they'll drop their remaining points? I suspect they might.
See also: the home and away matches both being tame 0-0 draws.
I looked at that but China have a far superior goal difference, which will kill it.
Says a lot about international sport though. A tiny country with good structures and facilities can easily compete with a billion man mess.
