[FOOTBALL] Weekend Football 6-8 November (Benny Special - Arsenal vs Tottenham)

This week the London derby takes centre stage for us. A depleted and recently mauled Arsenal take on a vibrant Spurs side full of youth and energy. Both sides contain an old fashioned centre forward hitting some good form, so goals are probably quite likely. But whilst Tottenham will probably call on their usual defence, Arsenal have been hit with injuries to the likes of Bellerin and Koscielny. We'll trial whether both teams score in addition to the result in our bet this week. Best of luck. Odds taken from bet365.

This really needs to be the start of a good run of form for Chelsea. Next fixtures are:

    Stoke (a)
    Norwich (h)
    Tottenham (a)
    Bournemouth (h)
    Leicester (a)
    Sunderland (h)
    Watford (h)

If they were playing anything like their ability should allow, you'd be expecting them to go into the game at Old Trafford in December with at least six wins out of seven.

But they're not. So who knows. They'll probably draw tomorrow.

What's happened to Pedro? Since his first game or two, I've not heard or seen him in the team.

Did Mourinho even want him or was he a 'well we have to sign someone' type thing?
I know he was used as a stick to beat Hazard with last week but that was more about Hazard.

He's been out injured for the past two league games, but came on as a sub on Wednesday night. Before that he'd started and played in most of every league game but the Southampton one, but he's done piss all in most of them.

I'm missing my fiancée's birthday tonight to go watch Finn Harps instead. We're 1-0 down from the first leg of the promotion playoff against Limerick, so it'll to be tough. The stadium is going to be packed out, 4000 people at least I'd say.

Two Baines free kicks and a Lukaku debut winner was one of the best games I've ever been to.

RTE should really be showing that game. They're showing the women's cup final live for Gods sake.

Spurs, Stoke, Everton & Leicester. Ł12 on returns Ł1,000. That really isn't as outlandish as the odds suggest.

Nailed on for Bellerin and Kolscieny to start on Sunday, I swear Wenger does this before every game. Can't say I'm particularly concerned with Bellerin but I've long thought Kolscieny is a good defender, surprised he hasn't been picked up by a bigger club considering Barca bought Vermaelen.

Bournemouth v Newcastle will be a tasty game I reckon, shit defences against one another and both teams seeing this one as a real chance at three points.

No chance Bellerin plays. Wenger doesn't play those games. Chadli is going to absolutely rape us if they play him.

Yeah it's really surprising that they aren't showing it. Who's actually going to watch the women's match?

The first two winning are once in 20 year type events so it's not surprising the odds might be quite lengthy.

You'd probably end up having Leicester let you down if the other three came good.

Koscielny is the real reason Taz has melted away. He's been made to look a right tit.

I'm down Sunday as by all accounts the Middlesex lot are coming in numbers as a result of not exactly having a great time of it before and after the cup game at theirs. Most likely fuck all will happen as per, but it's always nice to see the reaction of their usual hordes of mouthy barmies when a few pubs of proper Arsenal empty out to interrupt the scarfer slapping.

I like Kosceilny just because he often intercepts the ball from in front of the attacker. Just something unusual which is good to see, the vast majority of centre backs stay goal side.

Oh, and Bobby to get the winner tomorrow.

The Magic of the Cup returns today, although I'm not really sure I agree with the BBC televising (and hence handing a pile of cash to) their pet project. There are probably more deserving causes.

He definitely does play those games, I'm pretty sure someone is 'injured' before a game before miraculously recovering every time... Chadli isn't playing so fear not, cocked up his ankle, it's the return of Son which might be the difference, the chaps a beast.

TSF said that our scouts were raving about him but Wenger flipped out over the money.

He'll always say someone's having a late fitness test if they are from my memory.

I went to the first two rounds when I was back last month - around 300-400 folks there.

For this game, there are 1,400 tickets available, and each season ticket holder was allowed to buy 2 tickets, with the remaining going on general sale. Despite only 250-350 season ticket holders, no tickets went on general sale - with an estimate 800 tickets being divvied up between players, BBC, staff and Gary Neville's mates.

Fair play to Jenas, he has realised the error of his ways and has started pronouncing it correctly. He is a decent pundit.

That was a useful goal. Notts County look like they're not interested.

Oddly hollow too as the BBC are obsessed with the celeb millionaire owners jumping around.

I'd normally want the non-league side to win but it's hard to cheer for the side owned by millionaires who changed the club's colours to those of the club they played for as soon as they turned up. I'm well up for hearing more of Jermaine Jenas' East Midlands accent on telly, by the way.

Watford at home tomorrow. Watford look a decent side and can defend so it might be tough. But then I thought that about West Brom last week so we'll see. I've got a cracking Sunday lined up. Lauren's out all day so I'm planning a day of Torino-Inter, Villa-Man City, Arsenal-Spurs and Sevilla-Real Madrid. Lovely.

I am. I like to see all the Premier League football. Plenty of opportunity to see other leagues at other kick off times. I'll catch the goals on the European Football Show. I imagine Roma will give Lazio a bit of a fisting.

3 minutes away from penalties. I can only imagine what it was like up there, and a leaving very student to pop up with the winner and all. Scenes indeed.

We were playing for penalties for the entirety of extra time basically. The winner came from the first time we got the ball in the final third. It was some cross and header. I think it was Banda's 3rd game for us, maybe 4th. I actually can't believe we did it.
