What the fuck has happened in that Bayern game? I checked the score at like 65 minutes and it was 3-2.
Clever jerries recognising that the tiebreakers could be vital later on. Wouldn't see an Italian side do that.

Neuer came off, Zagreb scored 2, Bayern got mad, GOALS
I'm a twit
Watched the second half of Bologna v Shakhtar, in my search for interesting football. This was of course ghastly fare, with two very ordinary sides each happy to feign injury and run down the clock for a tame goalless draw.
It did however give some food for thought about Shakhtar. On the pitch they are more or less what they have always been: some of the better Ukrainian players, with a squadron of Brazilians to provide the 'quality', even if there isn't quite the depth that they used to have ten or more years ago. Their away kit, which they were wearing in this one, nods pretty unsubtly to the national flag (of Ukraine), even though their city is in a declared independent republic and is de facto run by Russia. Presumably none of the players or staff have been anywhere near Donetsk in years. God knows where they play their league games, but their CL home games are going to be at Schalke's ground. Yet they just seem to potter along as always. They seemed to have about 50 fans in the 'away end' for this one, none of whom had any Shakhtar colours but just Ukrainian national garb, so presumably just emigrés or general football fans.
What is the future for that? Do they turn into the first club that just exists outwith its declared locus, powered on by branding and history alone? It might be a long wait for Zelensky's boys to liberate and rebuild the Donbass stadium. Can they just carry on like this forever? Will that encourage Americans to rip English clubs out of their locations? I can't help but wonder.
6 games yesterday, 6 games today, 6 games next Thursday? What the fuck is that? Are they going to have this offset wank all the time or is it just for the first round of games?
Celtic v Slovan Bratislava. The former look quite good, the only good news about that is my brother's wedding is coming up and although the bride is Welsh, somehow her family is packed full of Celtic fans so I can make small talk saying that Arne Engels looks quite good and how is Callum McGregor still playing. Lovely to see the Vladimir Weiss/Vladimir Weiss coach/player duo still going strong for the away side. The playing half of the duo getting roundly booed because he played 23 games for Rangers about 15 years ago. He also looks completely shite.
Hard to put into words how bad Spurs are. Solanke might never score again, such is the complete lack of service.
Name on the trophy.
Imagine wasting that sort of reverse jinx on the league club.
That can't be as good as that sounds.Preston 1-1 Fulham (16-15 on pens)
Not ideal to lose against weak opposition in Spurs but it's a nice warmup for the proper game against Swansea on Saturday.
Idah and Scales are Ireland's first Champions League scorers since Darron Gibson in 2011. Dancing on the streets of Gigglestown tonight.
They genuinely looked a decent side. Not sure Slovan are that bad. Think the format suits Celtic big time as well as it makes all the home games massive occasions and much greater chance in at least a couple of the away games than they used to get seeded 4th in a 4 team group.
Bodgers revival 24-25 is on.
How the fuck have Celtic managed to get so many games against fellow bums? Young Boys and Brugges to come at home? The aways aren't much better/worse, almost wall to wall shite.
This is the best Celtic side in quite a few years. They have been chronic underperformers in Europe for a while, so if they can't do it this season they never will.
Just seen the PSG goal.
I see I misread the fixtures and the Thursday games are today and not next week. Also, upon closer inspection, Brest are in the Champions League?
