Turn-based strategy games / Heroes games

Anyone a fan? I pumped thousands of hours into Heroes of Might and Magic II and III growing up, and have dipped in an out of HOMM3 ever since as it is still so well supported by the community.

I've just heard about Songs of Conquest though, which seems to be the best spiritual successor to HOMM to date. It's half-price on GOG atm (version 0.95 so still early access but close to a 1.0) and I can't wait to give it a try later.
