They just make the rules up as they go along for TV now. There hasn't been a 'one place grid penalty' since they were racing chariots around the hippodrome.

This race is a farce. Verstappen uncharacteristically made a complete mess of the safety car restart but Norris too cowardly to take advantage.

If Lando hadn't have gotten the stop and go this would have been a tasty ending, he's been blitzing his laps since the penalty.
He's looked like he's just phoning it in because he's going. You'd hope he'll have a new lease of life with the change of scenery, though if the car starts off as a donkey next year he could zone out very quickly again.
He's still quick enough but keeps making errors, so maybe the concentration has gone. Hopefully you're right and it's just what we all do at the end of jobs.
Is he wrong? The likes of Russell, Norris and Leclerc have proven time and again that they don’t have the killer mentality that Verstappen has.
Very few throughout history have had that mentality, to be fair.
Russell definitely does. I don’t really like the bloke but he quite clearly gets a lot out of every situations he’s in and is just as bad as Verstappen is when taking it to the edge
