The discussion was that the soft is very sensitive to temperatures and the out-lap is very important in that respect. Given that his third sector was good in sprint qualifying, you'd assume he fucked it up before his lap even begun.
Interesting. Magnussen admitted he was deliberately a twat in order to help the team in post-Sprint interviews. The stewards have called him in under the sporting regulations and he could well be punished.
