They did actually have Alexis Mac Allister as one of my options in the 92+ x5 pick. 3 other useless 92s but then a 96 Alex Morgan, so I took her instead.
I did get a 95 Yan Couto from the packs but nothing else beyond that.

I went with tommy doyle who is a reall nice card. I run him in my Wolves team and is by far, the best player evo ive done. The press proven+ in the pirlo role is a lot of fun.

Also has anyone ever experimented with a formation using false 9? Ive tried it and my ST in the false 9 drops back to CDM and does not really move forward from them during attacks reagardless of work rates. More testing is needed.

Surprisingly not. With an engine, hs is really good. Once he starts running, he is very hard to stop.
Yeah he's known as DDA Drogba in the community because of how good he is. Also tends to get those bounces in his favour.
I would love to complete him but the 81+ are so shit that you cannot grind up the fodder. You get three or four picks of nothing but 81s and 82s and your momentum is gone.
I'm torn. My emergency yeet list is bulging but doing an icon SBC from a month ago with suspect stats in certain areas strikes me as folly. How does Toney's card compare to him? It looks better.
I think the Drogba one is quite recent and was the card "Selected" by the pro winner. His Goiazo was already painful like Fox said and thats just a better one.
I used Toney with my England team and he was good for me. Not sure how he compares though.

Apparently the Copa tournament is much easier to get the upgrades from if they're on a good team. Uruguay are I believe 3rd favourites for the whole thing so fingers are crossed.

Finally got the squad in a good place too. The problem with your Garnachos, Diazs, Olises and Salahs is none of them have striker listed as alternative positions. I didn't realise Barcola does, so back into the team he went and the balance is so much better now.
I switched to the 4-3-2-1 for a qualy run(sorry Sincere). Salah up top, Garnacho left, Barcola right. Enzo and De Paul holding and Xavi getting forward of the 3 CMs. I have recently been struggling with the formation, but today I set the fullbacks back to balanced and told them to overlap. Big difference maker. You have to be confident to dribble out of a press with your CM and sometimes even CBs, but that sprayed pass out to a wide open fullback is always on.
Went 9-1 in the run. The 1 loss I was down 3-0 at HT and clawed it back to 3-2, but he held possession for the last 15 mins to see it out. I'd love to be able to play like this all the time, but I only ever tend to do it in bursts.

You can either pick the LCM or RCM to be the same as the middle, but only one.
The one you didn't choose you be completely balanced.
The side that you chose the balanced CM on should have the forward on get in behind.
The other side should have come back on defence, get in behind.
ST is stay central, get in behind.
On second viewing of my own custom tactics, I don't have the striker set to anything. This may explain my struggles.
They recommend having the LB as a stay back and RB on balanced, but as I say I found it fine to have both set free.

Its actually not too bad on principle. Most of these cards will fit the 96-97 range with maybe a few getting to 98. Still gives them room for the end game everything is 99 nonsense later.
What I cannot fathom is why the pack weight of these is so low. Is anyone really opening store packs now? In July? Either they've just released this current bunch of upgrades not thinking about it. Thus as they probably dont grind the game they don't know that it's a bad mix of "upgrades" and PPs. Or this is deliberate and they saw everything being obtained too easily.
For example, last week with the 82+ and the way things were, I could easily have knocked the Drogba and Darwin SBC out by now. As it is I've only done half of Guler and not even any of the other two yet.
As you say, the good cards are unpackable, even the shittier ones don't drop that frequently and the upgrade SBC's are absolute toilet. It's a dogshit promo.
Ok, much better upgrades now with an 84x10 3 times a day.
Dick move that it needs a TOTW/S though.
