I have probably done a few hundred PPs today in order to try and force Gomez over the line. I still have one squad to submit on that too, so this better be lifted in time.

I've had Bozenik twice from PPs and also a Le Normand. All used up in Gomez but it means I went from being unable to do more than Diaz, to getting a very pricey Gomez done too for about 130k. Couple of nice pulls along the way in Petit and Suker.

German only Evo is an odd one. Maybe Stillers academy card goes in there

The plucky lads for the WL run. There's some obvious holes. I've 275k to hand so there's temptation to bring in Lauren James, Rice, or Foden, but the two attackers I'd need a good snipe for.
I used that left back you have and i was impressed with him. Winning those slide tackles with him, was very satisfying.
Used the England team for the qualy run tonight and got me 8-2 in the end. One of the losses was me 3-0 up and on him quitting I got DC'd.
Surprising success of the team seems to be Gray. He's tall and has Intercept+ so holds it down alright. I dropped Vardy out and moved Sterling to striker with Maddisons 87 coming in to start his Evo and that seems to suit me better. Tavernier and Gomez are good, but the other two lads in defence leave something to be desired. Less said about Pope the better.

I've tried to snipe one a few times. Not successful, though I think you'll see the England players tank hard today.
Managed to snipe one of those Popes so got into my WL run. I've done 15 games but need a break. Currently sit 11-4 so I need that 1 last win. I have come up against exactly two people also running a full England team. That's been quite frustrating tbf.
Mini goal of 11 wins reached. That at least gets me two 94 fodder reds. I think this is the point where the England team will hold me back, unless I can get the win in my first two games. I'm really not enjoying TOTS Palmer or Walker-Peters at all. My players also seem to generally have low stamina. With not much to change it off the bench it does have an effect.
I reckon had I had my main team there's a chance I could be 13-2 right now, but that's all ifs and buts.

Got to 13-5 with Enzo secured, I had two stabs at the 14th win. First game I was 3-0 down inside 30 mins. Absolute demon. With that one lost, it was onto the final game. 3-2 up on the 80th minute I had the ball in the right wing position and ran it to the byline. At the last second my mind said you should probably keep it in the corner, so I kind of did neither and overran it. He paused and put on constant pressure. I don't think I touched the ball for more than a tackle after that. He slammed home two quick goals. Annoying as it was a match I dominated possession wise too, but once he put the pressure on I didn't have a pass on.
Nothing in any of the packs or picks. The two reds were the usual Ferguson, Golovin and Debinha in one and then it was Koulibaly, Rice and Foden. Latter pick felt like a slap in the face a little bit. Could have used that last week. In hindsight I probably should have picked Rice but went for Foden.

I put him and Enzo in for a few rivals games. You're not wrong. He's so silky on the ball. His finesse seems lasered to the top corner too. Just not quite sure what his best position is.
Enzo also very good. He and De Paul quite similar though.
Was 0-6 but managed to bring it back for 10 wins. Was very tough. Managed to get red Hernandez 97 which is my biggest pull of the year. He is on two chem. I can see Rabiot has an SBC who eould put them on max chem. I really. I dont like Rabiot cars usually but most of the showdown boost are unreal do i will probably do him. Swap them in game and put rabiot at left back

This is now the main team. The arrival of Xavi to SBCs meant there was a way to get Frimpong in on decent chemistry.
I have Vicario in goal there as I needed some Italian to keep Bastoni happy. Gyokeres on the reserves there actually came from finishing Gold 1 in Squibs. Annoyingly that De Paul pull is a little wasted right now as to get him in means dropping Foden, which I cant because he's great. He's genuinely the best dribbler I've had in my team so far.
Goe Jomez I've found to be a very good foil to Bastoni. A little suspect in the air, but I can officially say I have scored with him. It wasn't a pity penalty either. I've used the big VVDs in draft and he and Bastoni are about the same level, but Joe, while good, is definitely on the rung below.
Xavi from my limited use is good, but I'm not sure of his best position. Theo is obviously good, but feels less so on 1 chem. A surprising lack of Frenchies in the team at this point is hurting him. He very much feels like a box to box midfielder stuck at LB right now.
Now we come onto the two I have doubts over. Diaz and Sterling. Sterling moves very well on the ball but he is very true to life, once he tried to kick it, it goes not so well. Diaz is the other way around. He seems stocky but not tall enough for it to be useful. There is strong potential to bring in Garnacho over him. His new card keeps carving me up. Those are the two I wouldn't mind replacing.
2 x Le Normand, Minda and McKennie. Yeah not great so far.
I did get 96 Geyoro (to go with 96 Chawinga) from SB rewards.
Decided to atleast get Pickford and I am 4-1 in Champs. Will crack on tomorrow and maybe have a go for Enzo. WL reminding me already why I don’t bother. Too sweaty to just get there.
Of my 20 games I saw I think 3 England teams. Two were comfortably the best players I faced of the weekend.
Assuming they do it again next weekend, it'd depend massively on the card offered if I do it.
I've been attempting to learn to play the 4-3-2-1 as almost everyone in Elite div seems to play with it.

Got a couple of drafts with the 4-3-2-1. Looked up to see what the 'pros' do with it and every one of them does the same thing. They get one fullback to stay with the other allowed to get forwards. If you start getting closed down, big switch to the other fullback. Idea is to get around the box and wiggle about with the ball until your opponent moves someone out to come get you. Then the players are positioned in such a way that a couple of quick passes into the space they just left has you in on goal.
Worst part is when you lose the ball in the middle, your entire team is there to converge on it so it suffocates.
I've played the 4-5-1 with 2 CAMs and always wondered why I got cut open so much on the break. Well now I know.

I've tested a couple of times putting a high rated player in to exchange to recycle more fodder into the club, but it being down to 81+ is killing it. Several times I've had all four as 81s. I wanted to grind the SBCs for Garnacho and Guler but it may be difficult.
We got the England WL reveal on Wednesday last week and my hunch would be Germans this weekend. A quick look to see if they have any weak spots in their potential squads like the English had with goalkeeper, the answer is fullbacks. Other than Mittelstadt there hasn't been a good German fullback since the Havertz SBC. Maybe worth picking a few of him up.
The obvious risk being that if it's German league, rather than Germans, then you're out of luck.
Ended up 12-8 last night. I was 12-6, flipped to the main team but got battered by someone with Haaland and Mbappe up top. So just left and gave the last one away. Rice and Salah the reds fuck all else of note in the packs

When the German Glory evo came out a lot of folks (reddit/content creators) felt like it was for their win and we might get more of them. Obviously doesn't look that way. So, I am thinking its a hosts thing. Picked up a few Landon Donovan hero cards for 12k as its relatively risk free at that price.

Having checked my club I have a grand total of 4 special cards that are Argentinian. 5 once I do Garnacho. No thanks. Not for a Nuno Mendes.
Even worse is they have the same problem England did with keepers, with the best being 85 Martinez. However there's no special version for doing this with Argies so it's just pain pain pain.
Its weird they didnt do anything with Martinez or Romero at 6 wins.
The latter would have probably suckered me in as ex United.
Yeah I can only assume there's going to be an Argentine keeper SBC Thursday/Friday, or an Evo to allow it. There's also a need for fullbacks in the team too. Wouldn't surprise me to see Acuna get his flowers finally.
You can still make Zanetti for very little cost to cover one side.
Still, we're due a TOTS in the pick tomorrow as well as the 3 pack. I think they're all 92+ options though so it only leaves Mac Allister, Romero, Garnacho, Di Maria, Icardi, Dybala and Martinez. As you can guess the more popular ones are rocketing up in price.
Annoyingly I've SBC'd Medina and Otamendi recently too. Had I those two, I'd have been tempted by this one, even just for the extra fodder packs, but at this point I'd likely have to pull a Dybala or Martinez from the TOTS packs to consider it.
