Chelsea's first team squad midfielders after spending £600m
Chelsea's first team squad midfielders after spending £600m
Casadei is a monster.
A fortune immediately in Rashford's pocket.
Admittedly it seems to be an internal circulation of funds within the Saudi machine that's addressed it but Newcastle droning on about FFP surely has to stick it to all you maggots complaining about its irrelevance. £40m for ASM seems fairly arm's length too.
They should be liquidated for this.
You can see the regret in his eyes.
Big boy signing tbf.
He was worse than the teletubbies bit.
It's horseshit. I don't quite know why Howe or Newcastle have gone for the horseshit angle, but a quick look at this (https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/newc...ers/verein/762) suggests their net spend is below £50m to date, so God only knows why they're claiming they need to sell before they can buy.

It's clear they have to work to restrictions imposed on them as a result of FFP.

This is Onana's flight to the UK.
Any news on Pierre Webo's trip to the supermarket?
If we force ASM out I'm going to take a stand against human rights.
He's the sort of player I'd always keep around as a magic man to unlock a defence in one of those grinding 0-0 or 0-1 situations you often face as a top 6 team. There aren't many of him around. Guess accountancy magic comes before the footballing kind these days.
That's it, and I hate it. It's no secret that money has fucked football but witnessing it at an accelerated rate is making it hard to give a shit. 'What is a club anyway?' feels like a lifetime ago.
I’d had said smaller time is way better, but my own club has recently been gobbled up by a turk just to give a run out to Hull City kids. Fuck the lot of it.
Our only hope is that geezer at Fluminense with his chaos-not-chaos tactics to banish the boring af European tactics that have ruined everything. Bring back samba, bring back flair, bring back Gazza, bring back alcoholism. Bring back fun.
You need to lower the stakes to get all that back. When there's so much money to be made you're trapped in a rationalistic maze, with all roads leading to analytics, massive calves and the high press.
All this over some fucking freestyle 5-a-side player with fuck all output
Hendo gone
Sounds like 13m with some add ons. A shame he and Fabinho are just essentially vanishing. If you'd told me that Saudi would try and pinch Henderson, Fabinho and Thiago and the latter would be the one to tell them to piss off I'd have lolled you out the door.
Tricky situation now. You'd have got 40+ games out of Fab and maybe 20-30 from Henderson and now everyone knows what money you have. Realistically need two in as well unless you fully commit to Trent, but even then you need a right back.
What a shit time this would be to be without CL money for the first time in forever.
The fees for both seem really low given the constant inflation of recent years. Why is that?
Henderson would go for £5-6m max to any other non Saudi team and you’d be lucky to get £25m for Fabinho given he was signed for £40m in 2018 and has progressively gotten worse
I think progressively gotten worse is harsh, more like has shown alarming signs of rapid decline. I'm still not convinced it's that good an idea to get rid of him as I think he somewhat recovered last season and he's a decent utility player even if you don't see him as a first teamer anymore.
No one else would pay money for Henderson as he's on pretty lol wages, so Liverpool are saving the £20m+ in wages over the next few years in addition to the fee.
Problem is you didn't know which Fabinho you were going to get. If last season is a blip and he's back you could probably get 60m+ but the other issue faced is these clubs have already sold the player on tripling(or more) their wages to move over there and given the talk of Fabinho was of a successor coming in and Henderson actually already seeing his replacements signed, they're going to push to go immediately.
While I also think there will be a struggle to replace them without spending way over the near 60m combined, there's not a lot of choice to be had.
He was also somewhat the victim of being expected to hold it all together whilst the previous foundations around him were going to shit as well.
Playing literally every game last season and nearly winning all 4 combined with Klopp himself admitting they got pre-season very wrong didn't help him either.
I did think he'd come good again this year but I guess we'll not find out.
Allan Saint Maximin is heading to Saudi. Harvey Barnes might be heading our way.

If ASM even attempts a pass in that league. He is a certified pussy'o
Fair play to Inter Miami for managing to do something even more cringe than what's happening in the Middle East.
Piqué to come out of retirement next.
He legitimately looks more like a waiter than a footballer now.
Isn't this like when desperate promoters convince long-dead bands to do a comeback tour for the name recognition. 2 year deal!
Onana OFFICIAL.
Bruno Fernandes named the new club captain
Onana taking 24 when 1 is available
Has Varane taken 4 now Phil Jones (FEC) is dead (RIP)?
No, he's kept whatever he had.
FM is going to be interesting with this saudi gung ho attitude.
Going to be a bit of an attack vs. attack league if any of them can find a playmaker to feed the goal scorers. If koulibaly and mendy are the big name defenders then goals galore.
Jordi Alba the latest to join Inter Miami. Chygrynskiy to be announced any minute.
Reddit is bumming Youssouf Fofana to Liverpool. Can’t pretend I’ve watched much of him. Fabinho replacement? The new Kante?
Also saw Hendo referred to as Jordan Of Arabia.
I'm a twit
Depends if he's budget friendly I guess. We were looking at getting Lavia in assuming the two about to leave were staying, so I'd say we're going to at least be looking to get two in.
Elanga to Forest for 15 of your finest millions.
Mbappe left out of PSG's preseason tour squad.
They've become convinced he's agreed to join Madrid for free next year, so they're trying to ship him out now for north of £100m.
Madrid would be silly to buy him now, and he won't sign for anybody else, so lol at all parties but especially him for not just going last year.
The bigger Ligue 1 news is Aubameyang, at the very peak of his powers, joining Marseille. Last piece in the jigsaw, they're burning Paris to the ground on 24 September.
