6.25 xG is prob the highest I've had on FM in a league match. Dunno if its calculating it proper.
Yeah I’m not sure it does either purely based on the fact I only watch Key highlights and they’ll show stuff worth 0.10xg but not over 0.30.

I had a match earlier (whilst I was still United boss) where my xG was really low in a game we scored 4 goals. None of them looked that hard (all inside the box) and one was even an open goal yet we barely got over 1.

I wonder this every year and never look. Is there a way to do the name fix, but keep leaderboards and stuff working?
The name fix doesn't break leaderboards, its the other stuff like newspaper names and kit colour fixes that does. Anything that is implemented by editing the data/db/lnc/edt files in the Steam folder means leaderboards work. But anything that goes in My Documents/Sports Interactive/Editor Data stops leaderboards from working, presumably cos you could edit your team to all 200 CA and win every game, if you really wanted to be top of the pops.

I think I love the name fix you posted Baz as it doesn't seem to have edited the awards to things like capcocanonieri del al es sol wan biaggio and therefore I still understand what they are.
That’s my biggest annoyance with name fixes in the past.
I hate having Napoli named whatever they are now or “Zebre” but just keep it at “Italian player of the month” for fucks sake.

Got through to the middle of Sept. Unbeaten in the league with 6 wins from 7. Out of the Carabao to Bolton on pens and a Penalty Win in the Pizza Cup.
The defence AI in this is beyond a fucking joke. They've dialled the new randomness feature to 11.
Last year you could have Conference sides playing like Prime Barca, now its gone the other way where Prime Barca would look like Northwich.

£5m. My board were SEETHING when I spent so much on him but he's played fairly well, he looks brilliant and his value has shot up.
On loan with a semi-hefty loan fee paid but he was massive for us at times.
He, like the next few names below, were signed on a free for the Summer but I paid for them now. He cost £700k and became our starting AMR.
£120k to bring him in now and I used him all across the front line.
£125k and I thought it was a bargain at the time but he's had a few injuries and really struggled when played.
A loanee for peanuts on deadline day and arguably the reason we finished where we finished this season.
Transfers Out:
Only one sale for me which was Quagliarella for £17.75m. Massive fee for a player I wasn't planning on using.
League:
We looked dead and buried after my first few games and the board were looking to sack me. At one point I was at a D, insecure and we were playing Inter next. When we lost I thought I would be fired or at the very least called into a meeting. It didn't happen and we started to go on a bit of a run. We then looked safe, took our foot off the gas and got dragged back into the fight. We needed a point in the last game to secure our survival.
Jorge was massive during that good run of wins and that's the reason why we survived.
Team:
I want to keep Casadei and Jorge on loan (doesn't look great right now) but the rest of the loanees can go. I want to slash and burn some of the squad and get younger.
Not much money in the kitty to buy so I will have to sell but there's not much value in the squad so I'll have to be a bit shrewd.

I just got my first preview and it looks good, relative obviously, but if players don’t improve what’s the point!
I also had a fairly good preview (and then intake), I had heard about that but had hoped it wasn't too bad/people who moaning too much.
I know they work on a lot of things - but this is the sort of stuff I'm always surprised doesn't get picked up during internal testing. Surely they carry out set tests (like the guy did in the thread and holiday forward and measures 2022 v 2032) - like this is pretty basic stuff.
I guess this is the point of having a Beta, but it still comes across as a bit of a oversight.
Edit: some of the replies in that thread are golden. Some arsey little teenagers demanding immediate answers from SI for the "game breaking bug". Entitled little cunts.
How do they manage to fuck up something like this? The game is clearly just a re-skin of 22 and I would have thought that iteration had player development, so to delete it out is a good effort.
Only gave it a very brief go but I've noticed that when you now try to sign a freebie you get a prompt to speak to their agent before offering a contract, agent then tells you to fuck off and make an offer before they'll say what contact they're after. Love the busywork
I tried to loan someone and they insisted on a mandatory future fee of £49m. Er no, remove and don’t allow it. They came back with the same offer I’d suggested and the text said they insist on the mandatory future fee of £49m but it wasn’t in the negotiation. Accepted, got him, no future fee.

That's like the old CM3 trick where you'd make a ridiculous offer just to have it accepted then after offering a contract alter the fee to £0 and it would go through as a free transfer. They never learn.
"Sure, I'll give you £20m after 25 international appearances." My favourite is the CM2 version of Ben's. Have a daft offer accepted, dumb it down to nothing and then cancel it. The cancelled offer stands.
Next year they bring in Women's football so expect absolutely nothing else to change or get fixed.

I was quite enjoying this save as well. Not getting any increases in Technical attributes would be annoying as fuck though.

FFS. Finally got into a game (with Milan) as well.
I'll still keep playing along. There's enough good players with monster technical's at a young age with the mental/physical being the issue. Would have been nice to see how good Lavia would have got - 2nd season and all his mentals are 14+ and every single physical is 15 or 14 minus the jumping reach.
There's also a bug of being able to bring anyone to any club on Trial and they just accept.
Haaland at Bamber Bridge etc. Can just bring your oppositions main stars in for 2 weeks before you play em.
I swear their testers do fuck all.
Have the changes to the ME improved it to any degree? With the rule change to the European format being implemented, I may just stick with '22.
It's just a reskin mate. Supporter Confidence doesn't work, Squad Planner is crap, Scouting is worse and the ME has a random element now that makes elite defenders play like Fat Barry from the pub.
I’d nearly buy it just for that mess.
