I did it from Steam, I figured for £8 difference it was worth it.
I bought from Fanatical as a bunch of the content creators had discount codes. Its installing now.

What’s the restrictions on the beta? It usually stops you at a certain date right?
I thought it went on forever, you just might need to start a new game to get the full benefit of changes for the final release. No idea if that's how it still works mind.
I usually go with Crewe but I think I want to save that for once the game is actually out of beta (not that they will change much).
I had scoured the leagues and was thinking about someone like Derby or Sheff Wed. Either that or take it easy while getting used to the game and just use United or Newcastle.
I think in recent years it's just the full game but one patch behind the full release.

Badges and faces from Susie definitely carry, I just cut and pasted the entire graphics folder into the FM23 directory, pissed about with caching and the job was done.
I've just holidayed for two years and the full on Champions League new nonsense format from the 24/25 season is present and correct.

8 games into the season and 5 draws with 3 losses. Going spectacularly well, haven’t even had a tough schedule.

Christ, Southampton players are all a bit sensitive. Had to work my bollocks off to keep their dynamics relatively high but went on holiday for a month when the World Cup kicked off and came back to them all being in the huff.
Slightly turned the form round, tactics against good teams seems to be useful (low block) and have beaten Arsenal, Chelsea and Man Utd whilst not being battered too badly by Haaland. Can’t quite tweak it well enough against the mid table teams though so still in 14th. Points are quite tight up to 8th though.
Someone needs to come up with a corner tactic pronto. Rather disappointed at the lack of goals from JWP on set pieces (20 for corners and FKs)
Does hitting it into the near post no longer work?
I’ve got them set as near post and haven’t scored from a single corner yet. Might try it on mixed to see if it changes anything.
In the QF of the League Cup having beaten Arsenal and Spurs away from home. Now been drawn away to Chelsea when Brighton, Fulham, Bolton and West Brom were all available

Same every year, very attacking counter-press fucks the game when your team gets used to the tactic. Low block + very high defensive line is wonderful.

Implemented after Bournemouth loss which was with a typical 4123 (DM, 2Ws). Team started properly gelling with it last 5 games:
AI seems to adapt more, so when they go a goal or two down they get very attacking. But then it leaves 5 of my lads up top and we just rinse 'em on the break.
Hasn't gone as well for me...
