Lukaku out at such cost was ballsy and Koulibaly is a proper team defining signing. If you weren't burdened with the great myth that Mount and Havertz can yield an attacking output you'd be a serious side.

James could go into midfield theoretically, like Trent A-A with a higher class of Nando's loyalty card.
Someone's hacked the prem stats and listed Mount as having 11 goals and 11 assists last season
Yep. What's more, 7 of those goals weren't against Norwich.
Carney Chukwuemeka has signed to Chelsea from Aston Villa. Neil Bath obviously pissed off at nearly being relegated last year from the PL2 and getting Father Todd to buy all the best prospects from other clubs.
That’s them signed someone from Villa, Arsenal, Southampton and potentially Brighton. All to be sold on in a few years for millions and millions
Who are the Arsenal and Southampton signings?
Omari Hutchinson from Arsenal. Eddie Beach and Tyler Dibling (dunno if fully went through) from Southampton
£20m on a development player
Even Roman wouldn’t do that

Tbf Carney Chukwuemeka has one hell of a talent. Villa have fucked up here losing him, he will be worth triple that in a few years.
It's been a saga for the past two years. Chuk has repeatedly refused to sign a new deal, reportedly due to wage demands and first-team football demands. I suspect Gerrard (and Christian Purslow) have taken the pragmatic option and got the problem off their hands. We've nailed down Ramsey x2 and Archer, and we've got a big pipeline of other youth talents coming through so I'm not unduly concerned tbh.
You've just lost one of, if the best prospects you have had in years and you're not unduly concerned tbh.
He's not proved a thing yet. He's not delivered a single standout performance in the way, say, Ramsey has/did or Archer has. Sure, it might be a horrific decision in two or three years time, but if the reports are to be believed, then I'm pretty sure I don't want the club to be held to ransom over his demands.
I don't like the Maddison sale adding Dubravka to the mix.
Pretty much where I am.
Paid Hudson Odoi 200k.
City throwing €80m at Gvardiol. Biggest fraud in the game is Pep.
Every top manager should have to do atleast 2 years at Burnley or Middlesbrough to see what they're really made of.
United seem like they might be about to spend an ungodly number of millions on one of these "talented young strikers" who's never scored more than 10 goals in a decent league (Benjamin Sesko from Salzburg).
5 in 24 in the Austrian league last season
Strange how City didn't put a buy-back clause in Angelino's sale, he seems ideal for their predicament.
Cucurella, somewhat inexplicably, seems to be quite close to going to Chelsea. Seems that Colwill character Waff was wetting his pants about might be part of the deal. I then saw a theory that he was going to play as one of the three at the back. Mad.
They should ask for Broja to be thrown in too.

Idk if Colwill is going or not now. Sarr, Ampadu and Azpilicueta all look like they’re leaving so they would have absolutely no cover at the back at all. Cucurella played in a back 3 a lot, didn’t he? I presume he’ll only be there to cover or against shite teams. Chilwell looks like he’ll take about 2 months to get back to normal so he’ll be playing out there. He’ll play very often anyway, Chilwell is as injury prone as it gets.
I feel like all these players shithousing Chelsea for Barca are going to regret it.
Chelsea have now gone in for De Jong. Joy.
I also have no idea how Chelsea are going to operate absent a wealthy benefactor to cover their outlays. They're in the process of writing off £150m worth of forwards this summer alone and are looking at spending what appears to be hundreds of millions of pounds on new players. I know they managed one or two seasons where they broke even, but still. Are they still dining out on robbing Madrid for Hazard? Have they found a lesser spotted money down the drain American ownership model?
£120m net they’ve spent since 2017/18 according to the internet. Made a profit last year even with Lukaku and didn’t spend anything 2 years before that. FFP doesn’t exist anyway otherwise Everton would be fucked.
They’re still to sell some youth players which will make a few milli.
The owners are also minted. Boehly is a part owner of the Dodgers who just spend, spend, spend and Abramovich put a clause in the sale to make sure there would be heavy investment and not to be treated ala Man Utd/Liverpool
Telles has gone on loan.
What a fucking wank signing he has been.
Don't make me dig up your opinion on the signing.
Jesus, get a load of this Lille lad West Ham are signing. The likes of it hasn't been seen since Papa Boupa "The Wardrobe" Diop graced these shores and raped all that came within his vicinity. Scamacca and him added to Soucek, Zouma and Dawson; thoughts and prayers for any side defending their set-pieces deep.
The Napoli president has said now they will only sign African players if they sign an agreement that they will not play at AFCON tournaments. Can't see many signing up to that one.
Not sure that would get past discrimination laws in a non-trivial country.
Isn't AFCON back to a summer deal now [again]?
Also, why is it every 2 years?
Yes and $$$.
CAF wouldn't survive without regular Afcon income. Unlike even the AFC, their Champions League doesn't make any moolah (probably costs shit tons to run, in fact).
RIP Super Frankie. The opening couple months of post-match interviews promise to be peak entertainment with him and Scotty before they both get sent home with a tasty paycheck.
Cucurella ‘HWG’ by RL’s mate.
Beaten by Waff, off to kill myself.
Miss you already hunnybuns
Mental. Tony's laughing all the way to the bank.
