Conte is unhinged.
Conte is unhinged.
Ah well. Good to see that only decided the game.
'Ello West 'Am.
I don't think I've ever seen a Leeds side display less attacking prowess than this current incarnation. Just absolutely no plan whatsoever going forward. We may have plugged the hole at the back to some extent but this is just ugly, directionless, awful football. I've said it before and will say it again - we should have gone down with Marcelo.
Would he be up for taking the job back when you go down?
Mark Noble, friends in high places.Prince Albert of Monaco is here. Apparently he became a West Ham fan after they signed Dimitri Payet and he is here as a guest of Mark Noble.
That's a collection of words I didn't expect to be writing when I started my shift.
Haaland is worth all that money just so they have someone who can score a penalty.
Napoli 3-0 up, about to confirm Juventus finishing 4th.
Chortle my nuts.
And Ronaldo is outscoreding the Liverpool front three too.
Fucking injury time equaliser. Burnley lose twice and we stay up. Nothing to worry about, right?
I suppose at least it takes it to the last day, regardless. I'm glad but also feel physically unwell. It's a strange mixture of emotions.
Relegation battles
When Lerner gave up and we were complete toilet for five years I was looking forward to an inevitable relegation. When it came it was relatively painless as we were a complete joke and down in about January. But the one two years ago having just come back up was excruciating. The Championship was great, but we’re finally moving forward and that would’ve been a huge setback. Guessing Leeds feel the same, but probably magnified as they were down for 16 (?) years.
I hope you stay up anyway. It’s still fresh having Leeds in the Prem and Leeds/Villa has some good needle.
Uh oh Everton
That first header by Wissa is unbelievably good.
Looks like the lolfest shit-off is at the bottom this year rather than for the 4th place trophy.
What's Everton's record like before and after Lampard? Has he got it in him to take them down next season if he fails this time?
Anyone but Sheffield United coming up would be grand(sorry Hammer). Getting Forest back is the preference.
Losing either Everton or Leeds would be lovely. Burnley going down would likely see them drift down the leagues.
Who are the other two championship teams in the playoffs?
Huddersfield and Luton.
Luton v Forest final is the ideal. Nathan Jones and Steve Cooper are both excellent.
Fuck if Id have guessed for a week I wouldnt have said Luton. Didnt even think they were in the league at all.
Did they get cashed up?
They've had a fairly meteoric rise I think [although have apparently been in the championship for 3 seasons].
From what I can tell exactly the opposite, they've recruited very shrewdly on a thin budget.
Well, they've gone conference to the cusp of the premier league in what, 8 years? I'd call that meteoric. Had Jones not been tempted by that whole Stoke business maybe it'd have been quicker as well.
Looks like they've followed a Yev managerial trajectory, with a few rest and build phases.
Holy fuck that tackle
Oh, they can't lose Rondon! He's like .... the lifeblood of ... something.
Rondon fucking hell
That was @Giggles to be fair.
There's a Luton fan at work and he genuinely can't even believe they're mixing it up at the top of the Championship, never mind what could come next.
Just had to check David Pleat is still alive.
Good.
Is Kenilworth the one with the sloped pitch?
I remember the plastic one from the last time they were in the top flight. A real proper plastic one.
You have to go through someone's garden to get into the away end. Not sure if it's sloped though.
Yeovil has (had?) a massive slope.
Watching this AC Milan game and Theo Hernandez has dribbled the ball from his box, took on 10 men and scored to make it 2-0. Goerge Weah style

Double Marsden line.
I thought Italy was meant to be the home of defending.
I see old Wazza has tried to one-up City in the small time stakes by 'calling into question' QPR's involvement in the Aguero statue game.
If they really wanted City to win it seems an odd way to go about it.
QPR needed a result until Bolton's score came through. If they "wanted City to win" (which I don't believe, but still), they only wanted it for the last few minutes.
Mark Noble.
I've heard from sources he's a bit unprofessional. Leaves his smelly boots around the training ground, often late, doesn't really take his club duties seriously, etc.
Year to the day since Alisson scored against West Brom.
It's slightly surreal looking back just 12 months and seeing how wank Liverpool were.
Give it a rest
Ian, can you hold Jimmy's arms behind his back for me please?
