He’s surely been told to ham it up too given they’re looking the regs changed to even things up for them.

Imagine the seethe from Horner when FIA mandate a standardised ride height.

You could get rid of it with setup so it's their choice to run it like that.

Regs are set until 2026 I believe. Not a chance there.
di Resta was suggesting during the race that the FIA might issue a demand for teams to fix the porpoising as a driver safety issue.
It's solvable, the teams are just choosing not to as it compromises pace.

A mostly Mexican, slight Irish and brought up in the good ol' US of A type of name.

The Americans really couldn’t give a fuck about good circuits and tradition. No doubt another street circuit in some questionable state will step in.
Anyway, I see the noise from drivers about porpoising is really heating up today. I am firmly in the camp that says the FIA shouldn’t do anything because the teams can easily fix it but Horner is already bleating so let’s fucking do this. I’d be happy for the FIA to relinquish whatever credibility it has left to send that cunt over the edge.

Sounds like Piastri in and Latifi out at Williams is all but confirmed for 2023. Latifi is expected to see out the rest of this season as of now, though.

They'll need time to find a new sponsor to replace Sofina. The Latifi's bring a lot of money into that team.
EDIT: Ah, it looks like Williams are going ahead with the switch to Renault engines next year. That will explain them not needing a pay driver.

Merc have proper fucked themselves. They've repeatedly called for FIA to do something about porpoising expecting them to standardise ride height or something but instead they've said they're just going to measure vertical movement, essentially forcing Mercedes into making their car shitter, and the smoother cars like the ominous Bull can just proceed as they are.

I don't know what else Mercedes were expecting, really. Unlike them to do something so uncalculated.

It's like when cricket captains try to get the ball changed. Indiscriminate bleating because people with the kind of mentality you need to get to the top of sport/business are unable to process failure.

Perhaps they knew they would have to raise the ride height anyway and this might mean other people have to as well, classic crab bucket tactics. Or they thought it would be a ride height mandate rather than this.

This is all fine until Mercedes raise their ride height and the floor starts creating lift on the Mulsan... I mean, Monza.

Ferrari really gambling on another safety car? That seems a very odd way of potentially losing to Hamilton as well as Verstappen.
