It's TT Practice Week as well. Current injury list:
Sam West - fiery crash at Laurel bank - leg and hand injuries
Dave Moffit - extensive injuries - described as being in a serious but stable condition

Different breed the TT lot.
Fun fact: I was meant to go to the TT about ten years ago. My cousin hired a plane to take four of us over but after we took off we got an alarm on the landing gear so we had to circle back. We landed fine but it was certainly an experience coming in to the runway and seeing an ambulance and fire engine bolting along to meet us.
God I don’t miss the obsession with road racing bikes from my time up there. It’s like a religion.
Actually that’s a bad comparison, but they’re mad about it.
Yeah, you'll never get me in a small plane or helicopter. I'd rather ferry it across. And I will get over there one day.
Anyway, first death of the fortnight is Mark Purslow.
Olivier Lavaral - in a sidecar. Oof. (Apparently they announced the wrong dead Frenchman. Cesar Chanal is the guy that perished, Lavaral remains in critical condition.)
Davy Morgan.

Just flicked on FP1. The porpoising on the Ferrari is bordering on human rights violations.
Sainz was pootling along down the main straight under VSC and it still looked fucking horrendous. 51 laps of that is going to be painful.
Lots of cars brushing the wall at T15. Could see a quali like last year with multiple red flags.
It's a stupid track for stupid viewers, and people claim Monaco is bad. They know nothing.
I like the location but wide street circuits take the street out of the equation.
It's not the worst street track, there have been decent races there but it's only the giant straight that provides an real prospect of overtaking. I wonder if the Azeris are still showing their war crimes on the big screens in Baku, I'm guessing probably not this weekend.
Is it worth being on Pirelli watch, given how they popped last season?
Just watched the 'Tuesday Documentary' about Le Mans on iplayer. Thought it was pretty good. Loved the narration.
They're probably about 40 years younger than her but Pinkham has some set of nubs.
At this stage I know that if Jimmy thinks it's bad it's good (mainly because he thinks the WC should be 9 races at silverstone, brands hatch, and donington in his victorian brain), so I'm expecting this to be really good given his strop.
I really struggle with the modern day wacky races side of things, and safety cars, the whose-fault-is-it back and forth when anyone goes off track, drivers bitching at each other, etc. I just want to watch racing on racing circuits. I don't want to see them go single file past a castle and then crash into a wall on a 4 mile straight bringing everything to a halt for the next 20 minutes.

Reducing the size of the cars significantly will solve everything.
I would take a season of them going to spa, suzuka, and interlagos over and over.
I liked Mugello, they should go back there.
Tilke should just make a Gran Turismo track for real. Unless he makes something nightmarish like Complex String.
Very messy F2 sprint race just. Every other lap there was somebody in the wall.
Twice inside a lap. Get him out.
Just withdraw Stroll's car for the rest of the season and save some money.
Unfortunately I don’t think Daddy Strulovic is short of cash.
Show me a businessman who likes pissing money away. Something has to give.
The car just doesn’t like going around corners.
Hard to see Charles not being swamped tomorrow, but that's a great lap from him.
There's no Maldonado or Montoya in this year's Le Mans field. I'm ranking everyone in how many seconds faster they are than Michael Fassbender, instead.
This bowtie Hepatologist is currently 3 seconds faster than him. Congratulations on your wealth and success, Sir.
Anything happen Hamilton after?
He was noted for breaking track limits earlier in the session but that was it.
Is it right that the race starts at midday or am I seeing something wrong?
Yep. I'm surprised by that.
That anthem sounds like the intro to some symphonic metal.
What's going on with the Sky presenting team? They seem to have maybe one competent pundit on duty this weekend.
Was about to say. Obviously have the reserves in this weekend.
Is Di Resta going to be on commentary? I might have to go back to bed.
I can hear it already. "Hamilton blah blah blah, not very good."
Only Crofty is contracted to every race. Brundle only does about 17 or 18 because he does his own racing sometimes. He’s probably at Le Mans today.
Alex Brundle is so maybe his dad is there.
Ferrari make a fuck up every race
Is that what Horner calls letting them race? Piss.
CURSED FERRARI

Fuck off Ferrari.
This season is going to be boring now. Christ. Just give Max the title
Ferrari fucking love a false dawn don't they.
How are they even allowed racing jumping up and down like that lol
3/6 Ferrari engines popped so far.
Gaffer tape on that wing?
