What do you want for Christmas?

What do you want for Christmas? A question that causes me more headaches than it should, not sure if I am alone in this? I am 35 with no kids, lucky enough to pretty much get whatever I want whenever I want it (within reason of course) so when asked to say what I want within the £20 price range I often struggle to name something.

So what do you all want for Christmas? Are you easy to buy for or a pain in the arse like me? Can't even ask for booze at the moment as my drinks cabinet is rammed. First world problems, I know.

I always want things that are admin for me to buy at other times. Socks and tea towels are much sought after.

I never want anything 'nice', I just find it embarrassing to receive.

I agree with the embarrassing to receive angle but if I don't give direction I'll be given some absolute tat I have to put on some amateur dramatic enthusiasm for so it's better to just give detailed instructions.

It's a Christmas jumper or nothing I'm afraid. I get a new random one every year as a conversation piece.

That’s the best bit, though I’m making it this year. No breakfast, no soup, no starter, just an absolute monster of a dinner you can’t move after.

Same here on all points. We've the in laws over as we finally have a big enough gaff to host and I'll gladly take cooking over stopping the kids from murdering each other.

Slight concern over the oven not being big enough for everything but I'll bring out the airfriers if need be.

Not a clue. The family don't really bother with it.

Hate asking for anything, usually it's just something cooking or BBQ related. This year ive asked for smoking wood, some sauces and a few different seasoning/rubs from different places. Usually I make a point of not asking but my wife's mother gets so stressed about Christmas presents its just easier to name something.

I much prefer to give than receive at Christmas.

We seem to accumulate more people to buy for every year and it's getting on my voluptuous tits. I've floated to idea of telling everyone to not buy for us but the Mrs just called me a miserable fucker, so obviously not. It's utterly pointless, I'll just end up with a load of shit Christmas beer and chocolate and they all end up with with same. Everyone loses.

It's only my Mum and my Sister that really buys me anything (sometimes someone else in the family will buy me some socks) and I'll usually just make a list on Amazon of stuff I want but haven't bought yet. Usually it's a board game or a video game.

Hate buying for people other than kids though as I genuinely don't have a fucking clue.

Fucking hell, first his drinks cabinet is too full and now he wants to cut his pizza with an axe. What has happened to my boy?

I would never actually cut a pizza with a pricey axe, I just like the idea of it. I do nail my bourbon supply it just seems to get replenished just as quickly (mainly because I can't resist a bargain when I see one).

Still, I am a married man in a town where I don't know anyone: fancy BBQing and drinking alone is my life now.

I’d never bbq for anyone, there’s too many self made experts out there to tell you what you’ve done wrong because they watched some YouTube videos.

I can come up with gifts in the £20-£30 range quite easily - generally books or coffee. It is a rubbish budget to have if you’re buying something for someone else though; I’d rather spend double and get my person something decent they will actually like or use.

When I was going through a particularly stupid period, I had a very stilted exchange with the dukla club shop, with the assistance of Google translate, seeing if they'd ship one to me. Thankfully I managed to resist the zany hipster inside when they quoted me about £50.

A new phone, a pair of trainers, some more work pants, couple dozen pairs of socks and gruds, and some Nivea roll-on.

    Thanks Santa
