Doesn't make them a bad side.

Questions likely to be asked on University Challenge. It's a very specific course.
James lording it over some boffins when a football or pop culture question comes up, with a few Paxo raised eyebrow yeses to boot.
"Which Greek island ..."
<James perks up>
I'm doing Data Science. To be honest my biggest fear is the music round being modern and being sat there gormless at Luther Vandross or something, or not knowing who won the 2001 FA Cup.
Wasn't that the Michael Owen final? Not that they'd ever ask such a question in such a way.
I seem to be good (or I guess better than those around me) at finding what day of the week a certain date was/will be (within reason), which is up there with the most useless "skills" ever since calendars were invented.
I’m starting to average about 15-20 “questions guessed before participants” (across starter and bonus) watching UC on YouTube, so I’d probably do decently well against the lower level autists.
‘Mon James, I’ll sign up to the Open to join you.
As far as I can tell there is as much skill in being good on the buzzer as there is in knowing the answers, which is hard to replicate when you are watching.
I'm really good at reaching behind me to grab stuff while I'm driving on road trips because my shoulder range of motion is next level.
There’s a question. Who is your ideal TTH University Challenge team (assuming you’re one of the participants)?
My gut reaction was Ital (wasn’t he on it before), Jimmy, and Lewis. But there might be enough overlap between what the both of them are good at (British history, politics) to warrant only having one or the other. Maybe Jimmy edges it because he has the football and the cricket covered. As well, Pepe and Ital might be interchangeable on the nerd science stuff, but who would be the pop culture geek?
Baz, obviously.
I wouldn't be seen dead on University Challenge. Nerds.
At this very moment a chick is waving at me and I have no idea who it is so I’m writing this message and pretending I’m busy hoping she forgets I’m here.
Thumb it in.
*buzz*
'Third Half, Aussie.'
'Heh. Actually, if you really wanted to... '
*lose*
I average about 80 on round one of UC, and about fuck all on all subsequent rounds. Open university are pretty good cus they have more old cunts.
I get about three questions right per show on University Challenge. Dumb it down to Chase level and I'm flying.
As for mundane, I love a good bit of technical analysis in THE GROUP whilst THE LADS talk about Bitcoin and Palantir.
Bitcoin & Palantir?
So out of touch with the mongs.
SpunkRocket and 4D are the new ways to lose money.
Clue's in the name. What can go wrong?
