Brighton: £50m?? Well in, lads.
Chelsea: Pending results of The Operation
Leeds: Danj-Ames! Danj-Ames! Danj-Ames!
Liverpool: Because FM contract renewals are the best bit!
Manchester United: Ronaldo 1-0 (plus some other nobodies.)
The Villa: Young.
Tottenham: Levy will be delighted to keep Charlie Kane around.
West 'Am: Big Mark Noble's presence is like three new signings.
You didn't list [somebody else] Webly, you cunt.
If we don't talk about 'tiers' ever again it'll be too soon.
Given you're a bit older and generally seem to scorn people posing (whether it be Loadsamoney Kiko or people eating spaghetti) I just didn't think it'd be your kind of thing at all.
Teenage girls and people with something to sell you.
It’s like when people say Twitter is a cesspit (I’ve no doubt it is) but just unfollow the cesspitters or, better yet, don’t follow them in the first place.
Yeah people "complaining" that their Twitter timeline is full of whatever may as well be complaining that it hurts whenever they stick a fork in their thigh.
I don’t understand Instagram. The non-chronological timeline just means it’s absolute nonsense and you miss the things you wanted to look at unless you doomscroll until you’ve seen every post.
I opened it up today and got a picture of the Arsenal lineup for the Tottenham game. What’s the point?
Tbf, twitter throws shit into your timeline that people you follow have liked. Or just random stuff from people who mighy be followed by people you follow. It doesn't solely limit your timeline to stuff from people you actually follow.
I assume Instagram is the same.
Also, we all love a good moan about idiots on facebook and we generally tend to know them in real life. Even people who are okay IRL can be fucking annoying online. Social media brings out the worst in people.
Yeah but it always seems to switch itself back.
Instagram doesn’t show you posts that others (that you follow) have liked unless you scroll through ‘recommendations’.
Do you have a link that explains how to save settings for him Phonics?
See, dickheads?
Just press the button again?
My limited forays into instagram seem to be all about blokes posting pictures of their orange girlfriends and calling them 'this one'. Twitter at least has actual content to read/enjoy/seethe at.
Instagram is great for birds in sports gear.
I think you need to re-baseline your content to suit your needs.
It’s not there for learning.
I have instagram. I don't post anything and I only follow accounts of knifemakers.
Classic murderer behaviour that
To clarify, I wouldn’t rebaseline to align with RL.
Certainly don’t combine the two, as it’s going to raise some serious questions, particularly if you’ve a history of not taking rejection/frustration well.
You should rebaseline to align with RL. My instagram is excellent.
Spurs coming sixth in a three team tweet.
Steven Taylor retired at the weekend because Aussie Covid rules have knackered him. I can't think of a more fitting end to a glittering career.
That Brighton goal is so stupid it's brilliant.
His Vardy-esque celebration
Having now consumed all the podcasts and somehow all of them managed to speak like they watched the game and yet describe a completely different game due to all games seemingly happening in a void. Including the classic gems like:
"For once Arteta came with a plan" - Literally exactly the same plan that he's had since the day he took over. Only difference was that instead of Xhaka slotting in at left back when in possession so Tierney pushes up, the right back did and the defense shifted one position to the left.
"Finally Arsenal deliver against a big team" - Artetas record against Liverpool, played 5 won 3. Against Chelsea played 6 won 3. Against United played 3 won 2 lost 0.
"Xhaka wasn't the liability he normally is" - The Xhaka cycle is that he does something fucking idotic, comes back and plays well for 3 months and then does it again. He's not Titus Bramble.
"Everyone has injuries and suspensions." 9 of the first 18 were not able to attend the first 3 games due to either having COVID or being isolated...
It's so annoying because fan podcasts are shit wankfests but when the general ones are this bad at analysing one of the teams that's on TV every week I can imagine it's infuriating for the smaller teams.
The bigger problem with that "finally delivering against a big team" quote is that they just beat Spurs.
Probably what was meant, and was probably right, was it is the first time Arsenal have looked decent in a meaningful game you don't necessarily fancy them to win. Most of the other victories you speak of have somewhat defied belief., but I suppose he sort of had the reverse of that with Chelsea early in his reign.
Nuno Mendes (the lad playing left back for PSG) was born the day after South Korea won that lol game against Italy at the 2002 World Cup. ffs.
Who is it that goes to games and watches PSG and sets off flares? Is it all banlieue people? Every time I've been to Paris I have not seen the first sniff of football interest anywhere.
Idrissa Gueye turning out good for PSG has been one of my worst calls in recent years. Used to love playing Everton when he was in the team because we ran circles round him every time.iirc Ozil or Sanchez did a rainbow flick past him at one point.
I get an Arsenal Fan TV vibe from their online presence. I'm not great at reading immigrant French though. All the provincial clubs like Nantes, St-Etienne etc seem to be supported by local diehards a la Leeds/Newcastle, OM obviously are a bunch of Portuguese/Italian steamheads, but I can't work out PSG as a club at all. Probably because it's so artificial even before the Qataris.
Besiktas are awful
I'm a twit
You’re right in the sense It’s actually a very small club. They get the crowds because of sheer numbers but a lot of them are not the hardcore just people going to the game but then there’s a almost ultra part of the fan base that act like ultras so they’re not the people you’ll see tweeting about how Pochetinos tactics didn’t work that day or whatever.
OK. I'm going 'If Fulham was the only club in London' and sticking to it.
Milner a better right back than Trent.
A throw back to simpler times.
'Performing live'
This Porto keeper is trash. First shot he could have very easily just caught the ball, but instead palmed it about 2 yards in front of him. Second goal, he pulls his hands back, for some inexplicable reason.

With that 2nd goal he has to be on the take.
Curtis "Curt" Jones is also a proper baller.
