This will be his last season for us. He wants the club to show some ambition, penny-pinching Ashley will probably jump at the first bidder.
Brighton: £50m?? Well in, lads.
Chelsea: Pending results of The Operation
Leeds: Danj-Ames! Danj-Ames! Danj-Ames!
Liverpool: Because FM contract renewals are the best bit!
Manchester United: Ronaldo 1-0 (plus some other nobodies.)
The Villa: Young.
Tottenham: Levy will be delighted to keep Charlie Kane around.
West 'Am: Big Mark Noble's presence is like three new signings.
You didn't list [somebody else] Webly, you cunt.
If we don't talk about 'tiers' ever again it'll be too soon.
This will be his last season for us. He wants the club to show some ambition, penny-pinching Ashley will probably jump at the first bidder.
I imagine it will be a similar situation with Raphinha and us when we come towing in somewhere towards the bottom end of the league this season (if we stay up), he can do better.
Of the two I'd say Raphinha would be much more likely to get a chance/succeed at a higher level.
You need to be more than mercurial these days.
This is going to a rough season.
Luckily our BBC seems to have it so I’ll watch it from there.
Smaller nations like the 5th best team in the world
The Islamic world.
I know. Every year I think we'll push on, though. Willock's purple patch has gone now the club crest is on his payslip and Wilson's getting the annoying injuries only a toon striker can. The club's rotten to the core.
I wish I liked another sport.
Milner, Konate and Tsimikas in defence. He wasn't kidding about rotation was he.
True true. Although they are also capable of going on a good run when you least expect it. It's also good that they've had the Man Utd fixture played as we all know Bruce is an absolute cuck to Man Utd. Gets a boner apparently every time his team lets one in against them.
Quite like Tsimikas. Has got good potential.
Useful prizes tbf.
I've never understood refs not clamping down on opposition players standing over free-kick to prevent a quick one. Ref just gave Liverpool a free-kick, Gallagher for Palace just intentional stands right in front of it - Milner attempts to whack it, it hits him, ref does fuck all, and just say retake it.

Isn't there a bit of a grey area between taking it quickly, and wanting the opposition back the required 10 or whatever it is? In the latter situation, you have to wait for the ref to enforce it, so if you want a quick one you aren't entitled to have them the full 10 back? I appreciate that probably doesn't extend to actively blocking a quick one, but you are sort of entitled to stand in front of it until the ref tells you to bugger off. In the back 10 situation I also thought the ref had to blow his whistle, but sometimes they give the taker a sneaky glance to let them try to catch the opposition off guard.
The laws of the game don't require you to run away from the ball as soon as it is given, in the same way they don't require you to actively give the opposition the ball back if it should be their possession for whatever reason.
If you actively do something to hinder the other team - throw/kick the ball away, or move to block a quickly taken freekick then I can see that being unsportsmanlike and worthy of a caution - but if your 'professional' behaviour is more passive - running away with the ball a bit before throwing it back or dropping it, standing over the ball after a freekick is given - then I'm not so sure.
Liverpool all over the shop here.
It's a bit like when the girl said no, but Ronny waited for the Police to Review the CCTV footage before he stopped raping her
And Liverpool score with our first attempt this half. Poor Palace.
The Edouard one is so odd. It's a perfect ball to be lashed in first time. Yet he tries to take a touch 6 yards out?
These 5-10 min spells of just switching off is a bit weird.
Off your weak foot that's bloody lovely.
The VAR work in the City game sounds a right laugh.
Felt like that last year then Van Dijk died and everything went to shit.
Tsimikas is exactly what you want in a back up full back. He's happy to be here and when he gets a game he's no fuss, no calamity(Moreno) and he's pretty good going forward.
Get rid of that mid-game wobble we seem to be having and we'll be grand.
On free kicks I would argue that you are entitled to stand in front of it until the ref marks the yards so you know where to stand. Obviously it's gamesmanship to give your team time to form up, if a player didn't do it and the opposition took a quick one and scored they would be crucified.
Good result for Arsenal, great VAR decision on the 'penalty'. Tomiyasu is mental and I love him.
I bloody love Milner. There was a bit of a “coming together” inbetween a foul and a freekick and Thiago was just being civil like soz but it was a foul but then you just see Milner bounding in shouting FUCK OFF at any Palace player who could hear.
I'm a twit
Watford and Brentford look like they're settled.
The fucking title/double/treble party next summer is gonna be naughty af. Me facefucking all the rapist backers too
Kyle Walker getting that penalty overturned is some laugh
I've watched it about ten times and I still can't decide what the right decision is.
Given that I'd say it's not a "clear and obvious error" and shouldn't have been overturned (the red card should have been overturned because he made an attempt to play the ball, which is the rule now I understand).
Inter winning 6-1 with 45% possession
I noticed today that Sky have the Bundesliga coverage these days.
We need a collective agreement that Norwich be denied promotion to the Premier League, after they go down again this season.
They've come up about 3 times in the past 5 years and they never bother trying to sign anyone, or even attempt to stay up by the looks of it.
Yeah you've got to admire their continued confidence that they don't need to bother with defending. They are quite likeable, and so is he, but they really need to get rid of Farke.
Ivan Toney is an absolute baller. That penalty today is the best I've seen in a long time.
Wolves are funny this season. Clearly doing good things but pretty sure Jimenez is permanently broken, and the second half was just Traore beating 4 players before crossing it out for a throw-in on repeat.
I understand if you want to play it your way, or have a go. But to just not bother with defending every time is mental.
I feel like Derby's problem is more than just overspending to stay up. They've become a circus act.
