Unless anything big comes out of my 81+ Germans pack then ticking off CR7 will be next. He'd link nicely into my Portugeezers from City and replace Mbappe.
I finally broke my duck last night, with Bernardo in a player pick. Then a 100k pack yielded me the Plymouth keeper, who was immediately recycled into the Guaranteed Prem TOTS Pack. Out came Rodri.
I already have him red, plus he's worthless so he'll stay in the club for an SBC. Then this morning, the PL Cup Player Picks yielded back-to-back blues!

Some very nice cards in this team. I wont be pushing too hard on upgrades etc for the next couple of weeks. Would take a couple of monster pulls to impact my team.
Witsel looks cheap and Sule looks very good for a quite easy set of objectives.
So EA fucked up(surprise) last week and despite telling everyone they had til Wednesday morning to play WL, they cut it off Tuesday morning. So everyone is getting a 45k pack early next week who played.
First row of players are mega, second row are good without being outstanding and the 3rd row I expect to see a lot of in packs.
Witsel looks very good, but there's not much to link him into as there's no other Belgians in the team and the only other Dortmund midfielder is mega money.
The prem TOTS really upgraded my defence to the point where I don't really need to bother touching it as they all link together. So as such I was hoping for good wingers/forwards here. Unfortunately there seems to be no real middle ground between mega cards and meh ones here.

It seems as if those packs are giving out - opened my own and got TOTS Wirtz. He looks immense, and with the Flashback Sule available in objectives, I'm very tempted to go full send, complete the Witsel, and aim to pack some more Bundes TOTS for a full team change.
Bundesliga and Serie A are the two leagues I tend to lean towards for squad building, and some of the Bundes TOTS are already very cheap.
My best was an 84 from those, though tbf I've had enough luck lately.
No one playing GG in this Sule thing is annoying.

I think I caught the Icon SBC crowd with some Kroos before and am now down to 34 left, just over halfway there!
I'd like to add both KDB and Son to the team and I can assuming those Kroos sell any time soon. From then on it would likely just be Alisson and some version of Messi to keep Mbappe in.
I'm tempted to go snipe some Neuer, as surely people will look at him for when they start to tick off their Sule objective.

I did Da Costa. Looks filthy and so much better than Lainer who I had at RB in my Bundes team.
Seems those prices do ebb and flow, so I'm never sure of the best time to buy. Back over 1m coins now a few more Kroos go. Tends to be the odd one or two each time now, which is promising.
I think that Da Costa will depend which of the shitters are in the reds. Almost all rewards I've seen are a choice of Neuer, Schlotterbeck, Frimpong, Raum and Diaby. Ndicka has occasionally been in that rotation.
The reason I'm happy to stop at 11 this week is that getting anyone beyond that seems pretty much off the cards. There's only really the guys 95 and up I'd even think about making the team atm.
Bought Son and Messi and rolled into WL with them. It's hard to describe but both were good, without necessarily wowing individually. They just made the team better.
I got to 9-1 so I thought fuck it, plod on and was at 11 wins with 5 to go. Lost the first, but then won the next two, giving me two shots to hit the 14 wins mark. Unfortunately for me, matchmaking was not my friend and I got matched against two players who outclassed me. I was 3-0 down in both games inside 30 mins. No point prolonging the pain so I quit out.
The game however must have felt sorry for me.

TOTS/Y Kimmich last year was the best card I've ever used so this has the potential to change things. But that's a cool 1.1m worth of player in reds at the time of typing. Cant ask for much more than that!
Da Costa suddenly makes a lot of sense to do now too. Who I get in the Bundesliga guarantee now is very interesting.
Perhaps a good job I started the German Cup before I completed Da Costa. Got 2 wins, but out of one of the 80+ EIFGS packs I got TOTS Frimpong. That being said he is pretty much the exact opposite kind of full back to Da Costa.
Suddenly the German league team is starting to build up.

6th cup win brought me Diaby and the 7th IF Schick
I'm guessing the reason they're so costly is that when you take out the TOTS cards, there's not a lot else that isn't 84+ right now.
My 75+ x 10 got me TOTS Raum to complete yet another TOTS back four, though this one doesnt seem as good as last weeks.

It works okay, but the expected flaws are there really. Lahm and Kimmich is too lightweight when Gullit and Vieira types come to town. Ahead of that there's also a man that doesnt quite fit in somewhere. Wirtz might be a better fit in.
Other than that it depends what I get in the Bundesliga guarantee. Davies or one of the big forward types will likely see me spend to shift things about. One of the shitters or the inevitable dupe will be quite depressing.

He's steady. Nothing special, but reliable.
Annoyingly they always make his base pace on his gold so low, that he only ever ends up around 92 speed. He's not the fastest IRL but you look at Hakimis' TOTY card and wonder why he can't get that treatment.
Not a lot from the UEL Marquee Matchups style thing but I did get Schlotterbeck from the double 84+.
I might actually put him into Gvardiol to make that much cheaper.

Logged out and back in. Interestingly the 27 Kroos I had left all sold in that time. No SBC came out to use them so I guess his price finally caught up to my listings.
1.7m in the bank so it was a 300k ish profit for the weeks hold. I did lose tax on players like Son in that time too.

Diaby is quite silly. Has 7 goals and 3 assists from 10 games but he's only come off the bench after HT in all of those. There's fast, but he feels like another level of fast.
Currently I'm pondering what to do about Cancelo. Once you get the relevant chem styles on, he and Alphonso Davies are very comparable and there's 700k difference in the price.
The current set up sees him essentially as my utility man. He ends up playing the spare position over from what everyone else is left. For a 1m coin card I feel like that's a bit much.
Now out of last years Bundes guarantee I did get Davies and if that happens again it's pretty much curtains for Cancelo. I expect some bobbins in it though.

I havent done any of the SBC players for the week yet as they really need you to have a full Bundesliga team to get your worth from them.
I put my two dupe Bernardos into the high-rated sections of Rooney, so will finish that up over the next few weeks. I've not bothered with any SBCs for the Bundesliga as I just don't need the players that much. Hopefully there'll be some better ones for La Liga, but it'll probably just be some bullshit like Gerard Moreno.
