There's a different conversation rather than replacing plastic which is around reducing consumption and increasing circular economies. Plastic isn't inherently bad, we just create too many products with a design to fail quickly and be replaced.

My wife has been on a mission this year to reduce our single use plastic consumption and use of chemicals. I don't really share the same enthusiasm and it's certainly hitting my pocket more, but she enjoys it.

Why do you have a recorder? I thought no one actually played those outside of being forced to in school.

I will have you know that I own not one, but two recorders. A soprano and an alto. They are simple, fun instruments to play. With that said, whenever I feel like playing I tend to go for the pennywhistle instead of the recorders. I also own a melodica, four guitars, and a piano. Out of all those instruments, I cannot properly play any of them.
