Yeah, that was pretty funny. Go long! Daft Aussie looking the wrong way set it up for him.

Did he just lose his bearings and not realise how far back he was to Kenny?
Talk about stealing a march.
Lol at that marathon runner knocking over all the water bottles and taking the last one for himself, gold medal level shithousery.
I've enjoyed the Olympics a lot. The one event that absolutely needs to go in its current format is the men's football. Get beach soccer or Wembley Doubles in instead.
Futsal's made for it.
Can you manage Team GB on FM?
I'm a twit
There is no Team GB football so no.
They have women's football on FM now though right? So womens Team GB might be there.
At least he got the gold medal for being completely knocked out.
Wasn’t it just a one off for 2012? The other 3 British countries outside England are afraid of their shite of the thought of it anyway.
That was my point.
The rule is that you can't follow through with your strikes as they don't want excessive force to be used.
I think the Saudi Arabian lad is really unlucky as I don't think he did follow through, it just looks really bad as his opponent ducked into the kick.
He can't really pull our of it. It's over in a flash.
Doesn't that incentivise over-selling that and staying down?
Massively I'd imagine.
Yeah but I doubt he was getting up for a while regardless.
Didn't even notice this was over. They were a bit shit this time around, weren't they?
I really enjoyed it. A much needed palate cleanser after the never ending football.
They were good but wrong time zone for us to enjoy it as much as we could. The next two will be better. Fuck Brisbane but I'll be 44 by then.
Didn't take notice of any of it really, largely due to timings and work commitments.
I barely watched any of it. Partly because of the times and partly because the main coverage was garbage.
I also preferred when the BBC just had about 12 channels on the go to show stuff rather than having to red button or check Eurosport or whatever.
Yes, the beeb coverage being a disgrace was also an issue. I could hardly be described as a wet internationalist, but I don't tune into the Olympics to hear about Lisa Bumcheeks-Jackson coming 14th in whatever event and her Great British Backstory, I just want to watch the sport.
In the end I just found leaving Eurosport on and accepting whatever they showed me was the best way.
They had a cracking selection of BLMs [and Nihal] tho tbf to them.
I reckon of all the times I turned on the main BBC broadcoast for it when I got up in the morning I happened to turn on when there was sport on about 10% of the time. The rest of the time it was Hazel Irvine asking somebody who won a medal for us previously how [new bronze medal winner for TEAM GB] "must be feeling right now."
Lutalo's voice had a soothing quality. Shame he is expert in a pointless Korean sport.
The coverage in the US was absolutely disgusting. 90% ads, 5% stupid commentary, 5% sports. I was hoping for the BBC to show everything, but they disappointed too.
Whenever I have the misfortune to watch US coverage of any sport (mainly golf, but occasionally others) it is just a complete ad fest. I don't understand it really given how much money there is swilling about over there.
The 7+ plus app down here were doing gods work. All the live international feeds with zero studio time and limited advertising.
Discovery+ here was the same.
Although two of their feeds were direct from Eurosport so had waffle/ads at times.
Not all of the sport had commentary though.
BBC was genuinely horrendous, I really thought they'd do a better job considering most people wouldn't be watching a lot of this Olympics due to the time zone.
Their highlights show was also pretty shit. Mainly focused on stuff they had prioritised in the live broadcasts and again too much studio waffle.
It makes the Olympics so much more accessible for me. I'm sure the studio standard is the same around the world with the low tier hack banter ruining enjoyment for viewers. Don't get me started about the swimming coverage.
Same time zone was probably the only reason I made an effort.

Was impossible to watch anything a Swiss wasn’t competing in here and was impossible to see any clips online because ‘this video cannot be viewed in your country’ so outside a couple of gifs I’ve seen nothing.
The CBC coverage was fine. They (Canada's beeb equivalent) broadcast the Olympics 23 hours a day, stopping only for the nightly news at six and Coronation Street at six-thirty.
There is a lot of waffle on the main channel about Stevie Saskatoon and his Great Canadian Story (he, like Lisa, ends up disappointing the nation and finishing 7th in the heats of the men's 750m dog paddle), but they've got *everything else* streaming online, lots of it without commentary as well.

Alright, Floyd.

Did I imagine things or did the beeb originally report it as testing positive for Covid?
Haha what a fucking clown
Silver to Canada and Bronze to the Chinese.
What a mong.
You have to wonder how the coaches, dieticians, etc. never spotted it.
My working theory is that some drugs leaked off the Italian as he surged past him, and thus framed him.
Ujah was on the opening leg.
Seem to remember him giving it large in the post race interview. Bellend.
Just hope his mental health doesn't take a battering during this testing time.

A Paralympian was three minutes late to the shot put and he was told it was ok as he had a valid reason. He then sets a WR and wins gold but they've now stripped his medal as they don't think the reason for his lateness was valid.
Shambles.
There was a lad in my form with cerebral palsy, 'Adam Cripple', and he was always late for lessons because some woman had to wheel him around. Years later I saw him shuffling around the university with sticks, so I think they're right to be wary of these people.

B sample has also come back positive for Ujah so that's the 4x100m silver gone.
Presumably as our Great British girls and boys don't cheat, there must have been some sort of mistake. Twice.

The silver has officially been stripped.
A couple of ex-rugby league players who were banned for drugs have come out recently and said that loads of people were at it, and that they essentially only did it to compete and get the same opportunities, and the whole sport has mobilised to paint them as a pair of bitter wankers. I mean they are, but that doesn't mean they're making it up.
