There's a sense building up that if we win this tournament there is going to be a massive toddler seethe from basically the rest of Europe, and I am here for it.

The bit I don't quite get (and I've seen multiple examples of this on twitter this morning from our Italian amici) is that they are all convinced we think we've got it won and just think we have to turn up to win. That is literally the opposite of what we think. If anything, we're far too defeatist about our chances. That is also exactly what the song is about, from start to finish.
In turn that leads me to think they just want to dislike England anyway, and use that as a bogus excuse to do so.
