It's awful. A team like Chelsea could finish 14th in both leagues until the end of time and never lose out on any cash whatsoever. It's designed to safeguard against a) fluctuations in form at the big clubs putting revenue streams at risk, and b) owners ever having to put any money into the sport.
Who is going to be in it?
Real Madrid, Barca and Italian teams?
Seems like most clubs don't want another round of fan backlash.
It best suits the Spanish pair, some Italian clubs and the American-owned English clubs, who I note (Liverpool, Arsenal and Chelsea anyway) have been slower to distance themselves from it than the others, perhaps they will do so in the coming hours, perhaps they won't.
Napoli bang up for it of course. I'd walk 52km to be part of the Star League.

I think the biggest thing for me is the faux outrage from the likes of SKY when this is exactly what they did in 1990 when forming the Premier League.
Yes it’s designed to protect the rich clubs. But, that’s what 1992 was for to protect the big 6 Liverpool, United, Arsenal, Villa, Spurs and Everton(lol at those last 3) from having to give as much money to the rest of the league. This is just an extension of that in all honest and like that isn’t enough now, this super league won’t be enough in the future.
If it was ok to do 30 years ago and all the harm it’s done to English football over that time no point crying now when they want an even bigger pot to themselves in the future.
Oh, nothing will be enough until eventually all of sport is just Jeff Bezos playing table tennis against Mohammad Bin Salman while Jon Rahm and Mbappe applaud heartily at the end of each point.
The question is when, short of that, it all stops.
I'm wishing the super League on so I can completely bin off watching it all.
It would be nice to not have to plan days around kickoffs.
