City.
Mahrez, Sterling, erm, Jesus? Ah no, Foden.
When you’ve Salah and Firmino then you’re wondering why Taz thinks Mane is a cunt.
Where's these fucking centre backs Liverpool signed?
That was a snide one by Thiago. Nasty.
This is cancerous
Christ City are so bad at penalties.
What the fuck was that. City miss a penalty every three games it feels like
The fireworks play trying to distract the Liverpool players there.
Fuck me what timing
Alexander Arnold will never play for England for that reason there. Doesn’t even attempt to defend competently.
At the min he should be behind:
Walker
Trippier
James
Wan-Bissaka
Cash
As they can all actually defend.
So clumsy by 'Ruben'.
Complete dive.
Yeah, that’s never a penalty. Cute of Martin Tyler to get a little excited for his boys in red
Palmeiras and Tigres is live on RTÉ for some reason.
When’s Jota back?
I'm a twit
Tyler fucking hates us.
Definite penalty. Whether he makes a meal of the contact is irrelevant.
I've said this before but I really can't bear Phil Foden's face. I wish they would pixellate it when they have close-ups.
He doesn't favour any team. The idea that a commentator is biased is ridiculous, none of them give a shit who wins, they're doing a job.
That was proper firing squad stuff from Alison.
What was that noise
Alisson
Is he fucking bribed or something?
Surely he's got to be substituted, there could be a couple more if his confidence has gone.
Alisson is obviously very keen not to see United win the league.
Foden is incredible
Liverpool might struggle to get top four if Tuchel is any good. Leicester and Everton next for Liverpool whilst Chelsea only play shit teams for their next three
This Liverpool team are done imo. Never thought they had outstanding quality (for Prem and CL winners). Brilliant team because of their obscene levels of graft. Now that's fading there's not a lot left.
How good did Tsimikas look?
Karius was shipped out for a similar performance.
It's weird; Karius's new haircut and beard made him look a lot like Alisson. Could tell it was him though when he tried to play football.
To be fair they've lost a world class center back to season long injury and their two best midfielders are currently playing in defense. At the same time I do agree with you to an extent, player-for-player I don't think they were ever as superior as they looked last season. Not to pull this card but I do think the atmosphere in Anfield really pushed them through a lot of games, especially the bigger ones. They just don't have the same energy levels in an empty stadium. Meanwhile City have had years to adjust to playing without a matchday atmosphere.
Utter utter shit there from Allison and he's so arrogant to keep trying those passes even directly after cocking it up to concede a goal. He has a close call every game and always keeps persisting. The streams today were absolutely shit across the board so wasn't able to make out much of the game apart from that tbh.
I think their bubble just burst. They had two ridiculous years and now they've ran out of juice.
One problem is that nobody speeds the game up in the attacking half. Jones tries with some runs, and Alexander-Arnold's passing has gotten better in recent matches, but the rest are usually more comfortable turning around and laying it off. It doesn't help that Mane and Salah currently mostly dribble into people instead of around them.
Thiago, I think, would benefit from having Fabinho next to him. He is not doing himself many favours defensively, and Liverpool desperately need some quick and incisive passes further up the pitch.
Prefer the idea of not getting easy access to their labs. Roger Federer and Nadal will be having the same issue
Thiago is their Berbatoss.
It’s as simple as that they can throw it forward more when they have a defence. They haven’t at the moment.
It looks like they're emotionally and physically shot.
It's not as intense as it used to be and the inclusion of Thiago combined with the removal of Henderson and Fabinho from the midfield at the same time has thrown it off kilter.
The most noticeable thing is no one really runs at the defence any more. Salah has almost stopped doing it. Firmino doesn't any more either. It's always a stop, take a clear hesitation and then a pass backwards or inside.
It's times like this a new formation/playstyle could be found.
David McGoldrick masterclass incoming.
